During a meeting with Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on the occasion of attending the High-level General Debate of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on September 20, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the Party, State, Government, National Assembly and people of Vietnam will never forget Cuba's wholehearted support for Vietnam's national liberation struggle, always value, preserve and are determined to further deepen the traditional relationship of solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba, and stand side by side in supporting the just revolutionary cause of the Cuban people.

President Miguel Díaz-Canel affirmed that the Cuba-Vietnam relationship is a beautiful symbol of comradeship and close friendship, which has been carefully cultivated by President Fidel Castro, President Ho Chi Minh and generations of leaders of the two countries over many periods.

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel sincerely thanked the valuable support of the Government and people of Vietnam, which has always been a very trustworthy friend, always supporting and assisting Cuba to overcome difficulties caused by the impact of the blockade and embargo.
