The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (in charge of the health sector) is the Deputy Head of the Standing Committee and the Directors of the Departments of Health, Agriculture and Environment, and Industry and Trade are the Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee.
The members are leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Farmers' Association, the Provincial Women's Union and directors of departments, branches and units: Provincial Police, Finance, Science and Technology, Culture, Sports and Tourism, Education and Training.
The Steering Committee also includes the Editor-in-Chief of Lam Dong Newspaper, Radio and Television; Chairman of the People's Committee of communes, wards and special zones; Deputy Director of the Department of Health, in charge of food safety; Director of the Provincial Center for Disease Control, Head of the Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-Department.
The Steering Committee's mission is to organize inter-sectoral coordination to help the Provincial People's Committee research, direct, and coordinate the resolution of important, inter-sectoral issues on food safety. Propose to the Provincial People's Committee directions and solutions to resolve important, inter-sectoral issues on food safety; promptly recommend to the Provincial People's Committee handling measures in case the work of ensuring food safety has complicated developments, greatly affecting the health of people in the province.
