Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Lu Quang Ngoi received and worked with the JETRO delegation in Ho Chi Minh City

On the morning of September 30, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngoi had a meeting and worked with the delegation of the Representative Office of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Ho Chi Minh City led by Mr. Okabe Mitsutoshi, Chief Representative of the office.

On the morning of September 30, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngoi had a meeting and worked with the delegation of the Representative Office of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Ho Chi Minh City led by Mr. Okabe Mitsutoshi, Chief Representative of the office.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Lu Quang Ngoi, and leaders of departments and branches received and worked with the working delegation of the JETRO Office in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the meeting, Mr. Okabe Mitsutoshi introduced the functions and tasks of JETRO - an organization under the Ministry of Economy , Trade and Industry of Japan, which currently has representative offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. This visit to Vinh Long aims to learn about the general economic situation and business support policies of the province, thereby providing information to Japanese enterprises wishing to invest and cooperate in the Southern region.

The working delegation of the JETRO Office in Ho Chi Minh City learned and discussed the potential and opportunities for cooperation with Vinh Long province.

Speaking at the reception, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Lu Quang Ngoi expressed the interest of JETRO, and at the same time introduced an overview of the potential, strengths and development orientation of the province.

The provincial leaders affirmed their desire to expand cooperation with the Japanese business community in the following areas: high-tech agriculture and deep processing, supporting industry and manufacturing, renewable energy and logistics infrastructure, human resource training, tourism and services. The province is committed to accompanying and creating a transparent, stable and favorable investment environment for investors.

Currently, Vinh Long province has 176 foreign-invested projects, including 15 projects from Japan with a total capital of about 341.58 million USD, ranking 4th in terms of total investment capital in the locality. These projects are mainly in the fields of machinery, components, logistics, and warehousing, contributing positively to the industrialization process, creating jobs and improving the competitiveness of the province.
