On the afternoon of October 2, at the National Innovation Center, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung attended the ceremony to honor the teams with high achievements in the International STEM and Robotics Tournament.

The award ceremony aims to encourage teachers, students and relevant agencies to participate, contribute and achieve excellent results in STEM and robotics tournaments, especially in international tournaments.

Delivering an inspirational speech, encouraging the teams, individuals and organizations participating in the competitions, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung congratulated the achievements of students, teachers, experts and coaches; and recognized the organizations and individuals who accompanied and contributed to the success of Vietnamese teams when participating in international STEM and Robotics competitions.

The Deputy Prime Minister shared that the achievements of the students are not only a source of pride for themselves, their families, and their schools, but also a great source of inspiration for their peers. This is also a testament to the capacity of the young generation of Vietnam on the world 's major technological playgrounds.

In the context of the strong development of the 4th industrial revolution, preparing high-quality STEM human resources is a strategic requirement.

The Deputy Prime Minister stated that in the world, STEM education has become an inevitable trend, considered the leading important pillar of modern education.

Governments are stepping up investment in integrated education programs and research activities, applying science and technology, encouraging innovation in curriculum from primary school to university and postgraduate levels; equipping the young generation with basic skills to solve difficult, contemporary problems, from responding to climate change to adapting to the rapid development of science and technology, especially AI.

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam has issued many important policies and guidelines to promote education and training development, especially in the STEM field.

In particular, Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation; Resolution 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development, have set out a number of outstanding solutions, showing the determination to keep up with global trends, build a modern education system, and meet the development requirements of the new stage.

Organizing and participating in domestic and international STEM and robotics competitions not only helps students have the opportunity to compete and develop comprehensive skills, but also contributes to building the image of an innovative and creative Vietnam, ready to integrate, "catch up, progress together and rise up" in the field of science and technology with developed countries.

STEM is not just about numbers and theoretical lessons, but also about nurturing a passion for science, inspiring creativity and training team spirit in students.

Through STEM and robotics tournaments, children are trained in courage, will, problem-solving skills, and most importantly, the spirit of constantly learning and discovering new technological knowledge.

To continue spreading the spirit of curiosity and learning, the Deputy Prime Minister requested ministries, branches, localities and educational institutions to continue maintaining and expanding the scale and scope so that this Honoring Ceremony becomes an annual activity in the series of events of the National Innovation Day.

Students will continue to nurture their passion for science, constantly learn and always be eager to discover new knowledge. Whether in the domestic or international arena, they always carry with them national pride and the spirit of Vietnamese aspiration.

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the Party, the State, teachers, schools, and organizations supporting STEM development will always accompany students to create a vibrant STEM learning movement that spreads throughout the country. At the ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister awarded prizes to the teams participating in the kick-off competition of the VEX Robotics 2026 tournament.

The leaders of the National Innovation Center also presented honorary logos to: The winning teams at the national finals of the VEX Robotics 2025 and FIRST Tech Challenge Vietnam 2025; the teams competing at the world finals of the VEX Robotics 2025 and FIRST Tech Challenge 2025; organizations and individuals with important contributions to the VEX Robotics 2025 and FIRST Tech Challenge Vietnam 2025./.
