
Orphaned at a young age, Hoang Trong Nghia’s three brothers (12 years old, Tay Giang village) live with their father in difficult conditions. Understanding the situation, last March, the Tay Giang Village Happy Family Club sponsored Nghia with 300,000 VND/month to help him pay for his studies.
Ms. Hoang Thi Tinh - a club member said: "In addition to contributing to the fund, members are currently contributing 10,000 VND/person to sponsor orphaned students. The club wants to maintain education for disadvantaged children, helping them feel secure in their studies."
The Tay Giang Village Happy Family Club was established in 2004 and currently has 32 long-term couples participating voluntarily.
Ms. Quach Thi Van - Head of the Happy Family Club said that most of the members are farmers so they meet once a month in the evening. In early 2017, the club changed to meeting once a quarter. In addition to thematic activities, members of the club also meet, exchange cultural and artistic activities; share experiences in raising livestock, growing crops, developing family economy ; raising good children, and helping each other.

To create a source of operating funds in the first years of establishment, each member contributed to the fund, and organized many forms of fundraising such as receiving daily mineral work, planting acacia... The fund was used to buy a sound system to serve monthly activities as well as holidays, festivals and for rent.
The club has built and maintained a "Revolving Capital Contribution" group with 32 members, each contributing 50,000 VND/month to lend 5 million VND/borrower (0.3% interest rate) within 3 months. Up to now, there have been more than 80 loans. The club also takes advantage of loans from the Social Policy Bank through the Commune Women's Union to help households in the club borrow capital to expand production and livestock farming.
Up to now, 4 households have escaped poverty, 5 households have escaped near poverty. Most of the households have risen up to do business and build decent houses, their children have been educated and have stable jobs.
Since its establishment, the rate of cultural families has reached 87%, and now the rate of cultural families has reached 99%. Most family members live in harmony and there is no domestic violence. In the Club, there are 2 households that have been awarded Certificates of Merit for being good farmers and businessmen at the provincial level for 3 consecutive years, and 1 woman has products that meet 3-star OCOP standards.
In recent times, the Club has taken care of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, given gifts to orphans, helped women with serious illnesses, sudden difficulties, and visited the sick with a total amount of more than 28 million VND. Helped sick families with 450 working days. Every year, organized the Mid-Autumn Festival for children, visited and encouraged young men to join the army...
