Việt NamViệt Nam05/04/2024

People in Hoa An commune (Chiem Hoa) converted ineffective rice land to grow chili for high income.

Of which, Chiem Hoa district has the most with over 246 hectares, followed by Ham Yen district with over 138 hectares, Lam Binh 123.7 hectares; Son Duong, Yen Son districts, Tuyen Quang city each locality from 60-88 hectares.

These are inefficient rice growing areas, converting to other crops will exploit and use land resources effectively for production. Localities monitor the conversion of crop structure on rice growing land to ensure compliance with planning, plans, land use purposes and orientation in selecting suitable crops for production.

The conversion is based on the principle of not losing suitable conditions for re-growing rice, suitable for the local crop structure, and having higher economic efficiency.
