5pm on August 1st is the deadline for teams to submit player registration lists before the 2025/26 season. According to information from VPF, Quang Nam Club did not submit a list, which means that this team has officially withdrawn from the tournament.
Previously, Quang Nam FC tried to find a "capable and dedicated" sponsor to rescue the team. According to some sources, a generous donor worked with the leaders of Quang Nam FC on a plan to maintain the team's operations.

However, at the last minute, the two sides could not find a common voice, and the Quang Nam Club leaving V-League was predicted early. It is known that not only many players, but also head coach Van Sy Son wrote a farewell letter to the team.
Currently, it is unclear whether Quang Nam will merge withSHB Da Nang or dissolve completely. Meanwhile, on the VFF and VPF side, the plans prepared by these two organizations will be implemented as soon as possible because the 2025/26 season is about to take place.
Accordingly, Binh Phuoc Club (runner-up of the 2024/25 National First Division) was promoted to replace Quang Nam to participate in the V-League in the 2025/26 season. In case Cong Phuong's team refuses, PVF-CAND Club (ranked 3rd in the 2024/25 National First Division) will be selected. If PVF-CAND also does not agree to be promoted, VFF and VPF agree to keep the 13 V-League teams and will reschedule the competition.
