The Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park (SHTP) has just issued a Decision approving CMC Technology Corporation as the investor to implement the Super-scale Data Center Project at the High-Tech Park.

The project has a total investment of 6,260 billion VND, equivalent to more than 250 million USD. Of which, the investor's capital contribution is 1,252 billion VND (about 50 million USD), accounting for 20% of the total investment capital; the remaining capital is 5,008 billion VND, equivalent to 80%, which will be mobilized by CMC from other resources.
The project will be implemented in 4 phases, lasting from 2026 to 2030. It is expected that Phase I of the project will start construction in the second quarter of 2026 and will be completed and put into operation in the second quarter of 2027.
In phase I, the investor will construct a data center (DC) building, an office building and invest in part of the core infrastructure equipment for the data center.
The remaining three phases will continue to be implemented from 2027 to 2030. The project's operating period is 50 years, calculated from the time the investor is granted the land allocation and lease decision.
Previously, in March 2025, the High-Tech Park Management Board issued a Decision approving the investment policy, the project has a scale of more than 30,203 m², a scale of 3,000 racks, and a total IT Load capacity of 30 MW.
Mr. Nguyen Ky Phung, Head of SHTP Management Board, said that developing a data center is one of SHTP's top priorities in the coming years, along with other key areas such as microelectronics, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, robotics and biotechnology.
“To ensure the development of the high-tech industry, SHTP is determined to attract research and development (R&D) center projects, promote technology transfer activities, build an innovation and creativity ecosystem, and support the development of start-up businesses,” said Mr. Phung.
