According to the image in the clip, the drink stall sells sweet tea and popular soft drinks. The bowls and plastic bags containing sugar and tea placed on the table attract countless insects.
However, despite the shocking sight, customers still lined up to buy water as if it were a normal thing. At first glance, many people thought it was a fly, which was very unsanitary. But after a closer look, some people confirmed that it was a bee, not a fly.

Many people said they got "goosebumps" when seeing this image (Photo: Duy Coi Vlog).
Immediately, the comment section under the clip divided into two streams. One side reacted harshly: "Who would dare to drink if there are bees or flies swarming around like that?", "Just watching it makes me not want to drink water anymore"...
Others were more lenient: "Those are bees, not flies, bees don't eat dirt." Some even looked at it from a positive perspective: "The presence of bees proves that there are still trees, flowers, and a natural environment around."
According to Dan Tri reporter's investigation, the above clip was recorded by Mr. Nguyen Phuong Duy. Mr. Duy said that this popular drink stall is located in a market on the An Giang - Cambodia border. Each bag of iced tea with sugar at the stall costs 5,000 VND.
"I passed by and saw many people stopping to buy drinks and praising the taste, so I stopped to try it. At first, I thought it was a fly, but after looking closely, I saw it was a bee. It must be different in each region, because in Ho Chi Minh City there are also bees flying around shops, but not that many," Duy shared.
In response to public concern, Dan Tri reporters contacted an industry expert. This expert said that bees and flies have very different morphological characteristics. Bees have a distinct waist between the thorax and abdomen, their bodies are covered with fine hairs, and their wings are typically yellow and black, with thin, transparent wings.
In contrast, flies have smooth bodies, large compound eyes, and are often gray or metallic blue. In terms of behavior, bees fly quickly and decisively, while flies fly erratically, often looking for spoiled food.
According to experts, bees flocking to sweet drinks is completely natural behavior. "Sugary drinks are the source of energy that bees need to function. The phenomenon of bees seeking sweet drinks is natural and common, recorded in many countries, especially when the area lacks flowers during the dry season," the expert explained.
This person shared that in terms of disease transmission risk, bees and flies have clear differences. Flies are agents that transmit many dangerous diseases, including intestinal parasites, which are considered a serious threat to food hygiene.
Bees, on the other hand, are mainly associated with nectar and pollen and rarely carry pathogens. However, according to experts, it cannot be affirmed that bees are completely harmless. Bees can carry bacteria from the environment, especially when they come into contact with waste.
Insects swarmed the beverage counter, but customers still lined up to buy ( Video : Duy Coi Vlog).
The image of bees swarming around a beverage counter, although not as dangerous as flies, is still unsanitary and makes customers feel apprehensive.
Many people agree that, regardless of whether it is bees or flies, the image of insects covering the beverage counter easily makes customers "shiver" and raises concerns about food hygiene and safety. Many comments are cautious: "Flies are out of the question, but bees that swarm are scary."
This incident also raises larger questions about food safety and hygiene at sidewalk stalls.
It is recommended that sellers use lids, nets or place flowering plants away from the point of sale to lure bees elsewhere, instead of using chemicals. When buying water, consumers should also prioritize choosing drinks that are tightly covered to ensure hygiene.
