3 wild cats are listed as endangered and rare species.
Previously, on the morning of September 3, 2025, Mr. Hoang Ta Lieu, residing in Lang Cu village, Coc Lau commune, Lao Cai province, went to work in the fields and discovered a sack thrown along the road. Realizing something unusual, Mr. Lieu opened the sack to check and discovered 3 small wild cats inside and reported the incident to the Coc Lau commune police.
Upon receiving the information, Coc Lau Commune Police quickly dispatched officers to the scene and brought the three wild cats to the Commune Police headquarters. On September 4, Coc Lau Commune Police and Mr. Lieu handed over the three wild cats to Hoang Lien Tourism and Wildlife Conservation Center (photo below) .
Mr. Hoang Ta Lieu's timely discovery, reporting and coordination with the police force in protecting wild animals demonstrates the sense of responsibility of the people in preserving the ecological environment and conserving biodiversity. This is also a practical action, contributing to the protection of rare wild animals, in accordance with the provisions of the law.
Through the above incident, Coc Lau Commune Police advises people that when discovering wild animals, especially rare species, they should promptly report to local authorities or functional forces for appropriate handling measures. Absolutely do not arbitrarily keep, trade, slaughter or use wild animals because this is a violation of the law. Every small action of the community will contribute significantly to protecting natural resources and maintaining ecological balance for future generations.
