Announcing the Decision to establish Phu Ly Ward Trade Union

On the morning of September 22, the Provincial Labor Federation (PPF) held a conference to announce and present the Decision to establish the Phu Ly Ward Labor Union.

Comrade Dao Dinh Tung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Phu Ly Ward Party Committee presented flowers to congratulate the Ward Trade Union Executive Committee.

Attending the conference were comrades: Dao Dinh Tung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Phu Ly Ward; Nguyen Hai Long, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation; Do Hoang Hai, Provincial Party Committee member, Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Ha Nam Ward. Also attending were local leaders, representatives of grassroots trade union organizations of the wards: Phu Ly, Ha Nam, Chau Son, Liem Tuyen and Phu Van.

At the conference, representatives of the Provincial Federation of Labor announced the Decision to establish the Ward Trade Union; Decision to appoint the Executive Committee (EC), Standing Committee and positions in the Executive Committee of Phu Ly Ward Trade Union, term 2023-2028; Decision to transfer the grassroots trade union to be directly under the Phu Ly Ward Trade Union.

Phu Ly Ward Trade Union was established on September 8, 2025, under the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor. The ward trade union was merged from 101 grassroots trade unions, with 8,584 union members operating in the wards of Phu Ly, Ha Nam, Chau Son, Liem Tuyen and Phu Van. Comrade Le Van Cuong, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, Chairman of Phu Ly City Federation of Labor (before the merger and consolidation of the province) was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of Phu Ly Ward Trade Union.

Comrade Nguyen Hai Long, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation spoke and assigned tasks to the Phu Ly Ward Labor Union.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Hai Long, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor, emphasized: The establishment of the Commune and Ward Trade Union organizations is an important milestone, marking a new development step of the Trade Union organization in the grassroots political system to concretize the policy of the Party, the State and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on streamlining the organizational apparatus; building a strong Trade Union organization. Therefore, to ensure effective operation, the Phu Ly Ward Trade Union Executive Committee needs to soon develop working regulations, clearly assign tasks to each member of the Executive Committee and Standing Committee; develop a work program from now until the end of 2025, and effectively implement activities right from the time of establishment. In the context that the whole country is implementing a two-level local government model, trade union activities are also innovating their content and methods of operation to suit the actual situation. Trade union organizations need to continue to innovate their content and methods of operation, building trade unions to truly be a trustworthy representative organization of workers, worthy of being a bridge between the Party and workers, and a pioneering force in the period of integration and development.

Speaking on accepting the assignment, comrade Le Van Cuong, Chairman of Phu Ly Ward Trade Union, thanked the leaders at all levels for their trust and assignment; this is both an honor and a great responsibility for the individual and the collective of the Standing Committee and the Executive Committee of the Trade Union. He promised to unite, unify, be of one mind, and make full use of his organizational capacity to well perform the tasks assigned by the Provincial Federation of Labor, the Party Committee, and the Ward Fatherland Front Committee; strive to develop the movement of workers, civil servants, and trade union activities comprehensively, worthy of the trust and support of workers; contribute together with the Party Committee, government and people in the ward to excellently fulfill the assigned tasks.
