Coach Amorim's poor performance with MU in the Premier League
Despite the significant additions in the summer transfer window with more than 200 million pounds spent on players, MU's playing style under the leadership of coach Amorim still has no positive changes. They started the new season with 2 losses to top opponents including Arsenal 0-1 and Man City 0-3, drew 1-1 with Fulham, only narrowly won 3-2 against Burnley with the decisive goal scored by Bruno Fernandes from the 11m mark in the 90+7 minute.

In total, Amorim has only won 8 of his 31 Premier League games under MU, but 3 of those were against teams that have now been relegated to the Championship. The rest have drawn 7 and lost 16, with a goal difference of -13 and a win rate of just 25.8%.
"I will do everything I can for MU. This is my message to the fans. I am suffering more than them. I will not change my philosophy. If they (INEOS group, co-owner of MU and football manager of the team) want to change, change the leader of the team", Coach Amorim declared after the 0-3 loss to Man City on September 15.
"I will not change my philosophy. I will continue with my ideas… otherwise, you have to change the leader," coach Amorim emphasized once again.
According to former player Gary Neville, who confirmed that he watched the Manchester derby at Etihad Stadium with MU's owners: "Coach Amorim's position is very dangerous. MU has only played 4 matches in the Premier League, but the current position is very bad. If we lose to Chelsea in the next match (at home), the position can drop to 15th or 16th. This is an unacceptable position when the team is preparing to enter October. If we do not improve immediately, the coach will be in big trouble."
MU bought striker Benjamin Sesko for 74 million pounds, but after 4 matches this player has failed to score.

Gary Neville also commented on Sky Sports: "I watched the match in the stands with key figures in the MU leadership (including billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, co-owner of the team, CEO Omar Berrada and director of football Jason Wilcox), they were very disappointed, because they saw Amorim just watching his team being torn apart by Man City, and finally accepting a 0-3 defeat.
Obviously, the situation will be very dangerous for Amorim, he will not have many more opportunities to make excuses, but must help the players understand his philosophy immediately and bring the team back soon."
According to Gary Neville, coach Amorim had enough time to help MU improve, but the situation still went downhill, and became the team with the worst performance among the teams in the Premier League, during the time this Portuguese coach came to work at Old Trafford.
