Can Tho workers go to the trade union Tet market

On the morning of January 11, thousands of workers in Can Tho City participated in the program "Happy Tet - Spring of gratitude to the Party" and the 2025 Trade Union Tet Market, taking place at the Can Tho City Exhibition Center.

The program was organized by the Can Tho City Labor Federation. Attending were Mr. Tran Viet Truong - Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee and representatives of leaders of departments and unions, along with thousands of workers, civil servants and employees of the city.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - President of Can Tho City Labor Federation - emphasized that in recent years, the movement of workers, civil servants and trade union activities in Can Tho City has continuously developed, attracting the participation of agencies, units and enterprises, especially the enthusiastic response of the labor force in the area.

This is the third year the Trade Union Tet Market program has been organized, aiming to bring quality products, goods and services to union members and workers, helping workers access goods with guaranteed quality and reasonable prices to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet.

In this year's "Happy Tet - Spring of gratitude to the Party" program, the Can Tho City Labor Federation presented 8,800 gifts to union members and workers from the city's trade union financial resources, along with 2,700 gifts from Party, State and city leaders.

In addition, from many sources, the union also gave 5,000 gifts of necessities; 2,570 vouchers to buy Tet online market; organized Tet visits to some units on duty during Tet with the duty of maintaining order, environmental sanitation, hospitals... with a total amount of nearly 6 billion VND.

This year, the Trade Union Tet Market also has cultural, artistic, sports and folk games, such as displaying Tet dishes and performing the charming beauty of Ao Ba Ba. In addition, there is a singing contest for civil servants, public employees and workers, and a contest to wrap Tet cakes to give to workers and boarding houses.

This year’s Trade Union Tet Market takes place over three days, from January 11 to 13 at the Can Tho City Exhibition Fair Center. This activity, along with visits and Tet gift giving, is hoped to bring union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the city a truly warm and cozy Tet, with family and loved ones.
