According to the recently released audited consolidated financial report, Dam Sen Water Park Joint Stock Company (stock code DSN) achieved revenue of nearly VND 249 billion last year, an increase of 7% compared to 2022. On average, Dam Sen Water Park earns nearly VND 700 million per day.
Of which, financial revenue increased by 59% to over VND23 billion thanks to increased interest on bank deposits. In the past year, Dam Sen Water Park did not borrow from banks, so there was no interest expense.
Dam Sen Water Park in 2023 has record profit
After deducting expenses, the company had a profit after tax of more than 112.5 billion VND, an increase of more than 4% compared to 2022. This is also the year Dam Sen Water Park has a record profit since the information was announced in 2007. This result also exceeded the revenue target by 18% and the profit plan for the whole year set out earlier by 15%.
The company also paid a cash dividend of 40%, equivalent to VND4,000/share, 24% higher than the planned level. The company's management said that last year it welcomed more than 1.2 million visitors, an increase of 8% compared to the same period in 2022, helping to increase revenue accordingly. On average, the park serves nearly 3,400 visitors per day.
In the last quarter of 2023, Dam Sen Water Park repaired damaged facilities and renewed the park with items such as fountain stages, lazy river bridges, slides, children's pools, and food service areas. The management said the park has very limited land funds and cannot expand investment in new items, but can only renovate and renew existing items.
In the new year 2024, Dam Sen Water Park set a revenue target of 240 billion VND and after-tax profit of 104 billion VND. Both are down compared to 2023 in the context of the tourism industry being expected to recover but the risk of economic fluctuations is still high.
Dam Sen Water Park is part of Dam Sen Park located in District 11, Ho Chi Minh City. This park owns 36 water game equipment and a 3,000m2 wave pool, often a place of entertainment for people in the city and neighboring localities.
