On the afternoon of March 28, a representative of the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi Police said that the working group of Road Traffic Police Team No. 3 (Hanoi Traffic Police Department) had handed over a suspect who was "high on drugs" and assaulted a passerby on Le Trong Tan Street (Thanh Xuan District) to the local police station for handling.

Accordingly, at nearly 10:00 a.m. the same day, the working group of Traffic Police Team No. 3 was on duty at the Truong Chinh - Ton That Tung intersection when they received a report from the people about a man assaulting another person near house number 86, Le Trong Tan street.

Upon receiving the news, the Traffic Police team notified the Team Command and Khuong Mai Ward Police and quickly moved to the scene. There, they discovered a man around 30 years old, in an agitated state, continuously using a wooden stick about 1 meter long to attack another young man.

Regardless of the danger, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Hoang Tung approached, controlled, disarmed and, together with the people, arrested the suspect.

The task force then used a specialized motorbike to take the injured person to the Hanoi Medical University Hospital for emergency treatment. At the same time, the suspect and the weapon were handed over to the Khuong Mai Ward Police.

At the police station, the subject showed signs of being unconscious and suspected of using drugs.

Currently, Khuong Mai Ward Police are investigating and clarifying the case.
