Recently, there have been many cases of illegal medical examination and treatment facilities and cosmetic surgery causing accidents to people. The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management has requested the Department of Health to strictly manage and handle the situation.
On July 9, Tuoi Tre newspaper conducted an investigation reporting that Louis Clinic, 72D Tran Quoc Toan, Ward 8, District 3, had not been granted a license to operate medical examination and treatment by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, but still provided consulting services to increase the size of "little guy" - Photo: TIEN QUOC
Recently, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management has continuously received reports from press agencies about violations of legal regulations on medical examination, treatment, and advertising by medical examination and cosmetic surgery facilities in provinces and cities.
The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management said that these facilities performed technical services in the field of medical examination and treatment beyond the permitted scope.
Along with that is a series of illegal advertisements, causing misunderstandings among people, leading to many unfortunate accidents and complications.
In addition, there are beauty establishments that intentionally use the same name as licensed medical examination and treatment establishments but have different business locations, impersonating doctors from large hospitals to commit fraud...
To rectify this painful situation, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management has requested the health departments of provinces and cities to strengthen the inspection of medical examination and treatment facilities that operate in the scope of cosmetic surgery and plastic surgery in the management area and beauty facilities. Strictly handle violations when they are discovered.
Advise the People's Committees of provinces and cities to coordinate with the police to strengthen inspection and punishment of beauty establishments that perform medical examination and treatment activities and services without permission.

Strengthen the dissemination and guidance on the implementation of legal regulations on medical examination and treatment for medical examination and treatment facilities in the management area.
At the same time, units need to coordinate with the Department of Information and Communications and relevant agencies to monitor and manage advertising content of medical examination and treatment facilities.
Previously, on July 9, 2024, Tuoi Tre published an article "Falling into the trap of beauty services, increasing the size of 'little guy'" reflecting that Louis Clinic, 72D Tran Quoc Toan, Ward 8, District 3, although not yet licensed by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to operate medical examination and treatment, still consulted on services to increase the size of 'little guy' and erectile dysfunction.
Seeing advertisements for "delicious, nutritious, cheap" beauty services for sensitive areas with attractive promotional prices, many people have become easy prey for illegal cosmetic establishments, leading to "losing both money and health".
