The 15th writing contest “Simple but noble examples” will be awarded on the evening of December 5.

(CLO) On November 15, the Final Judging Council of the 15th Writing Contest "Simple but Noble Examples" met to hear the preliminary round results report; discussed and awarded prizes.

By the end of October 2024, the Organizing Committee had received more than 500 entries for the contest. The People's Army Newspaper selected 100 high-quality entries for the preliminary round, out of nearly 300 entries that had been edited and published in the newspaper's publications. The preliminary panel continued to work, discuss and unanimously selected 47 entries for the final round.

According to the assessment of the members of the Final Jury, the writing contest entries this year are of good quality; they comprehensively, vividly, and deeply reflect the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers through the characters of officers, soldiers on active duty, veterans, and former soldiers across the country who have worked and are working in many fields of the Army. Participating in the contest are many professional writers from press agencies and a large number of informants and collaborators, creating many rich colors in the method of expressing journalistic works.

After a period of impartial and responsible work, the Final Jury unanimously agreed to award: 3 A prizes, 7 B prizes, 11 C prizes, 13 Encouragement prizes and 1 Special prize. Regarding the authors, 25/47 are works by informants and collaborators; 22/47 are works by officers and reporters of the People's Army Newspaper.

The 15th writing contest "Simple but noble examples" in 2023-2024 with the theme "Imprints of soldiers in peacetime" was jointly organized by the People's Army Newspaper, the Press and Publishing Department (Central Propaganda Department); People's Army Publishing House; and Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank.

The contest is expected to conclude and award prizes on the evening of December 5, 2024 at the Ho Chi Minh Museum.
