Da Nang is about to welcome its first flight from Ahmedabad, India.

DNVN - At the seminar sharing experiences in serving and building products to exploit the Indian market in 2024 held on the afternoon of October 8, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang said that Vietjet Air will operate the Ahmedabad - Da Nang route from October 23 with a frequency of 2 flights/week.

The seminar attracted 200 travel agencies and tour guides to attend, aiming to continue to consolidate and improve the quality of service to the Indian tourist market and prepare for the Ahmedabad - Da Nang route to be operated by Vietjet Air from October 23 with a frequency of 2 flights/week.

Vietjet Air will operate the Ahmedabad – Da Nang route from October 23.

With speakers who have experience in the field of tourism exploiting the Indian market, the seminar focused on exchanging and discussing the psychology and skills of serving the Indian tourist market, especially the skills of guiding and arranging tour programs for tour guides and international travel companies. Previously, on September 13, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang also organized this program for tourist accommodation establishments in the area.

Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Hoai An said that along with enhancing training, the city's tourism industry has implemented many attractive programs to attract Indian tourists, especially for the Ahmedabad - Da Nang route.

According to a report by the Da Nang Department of Tourism, in the first 9 months of 2024, the city welcomed nearly 152,000 Indian visitors, accounting for 43% of the total number of Indian visitors to Vietnam, an increase of 125% over the same period in 2023.

“Through organizing training programs and building product packages to attract Indian visitors, Da Nang tourism industry hopes to welcome and serve more Indian visitors in the coming time, contributing to diversifying the source of international visitors to the city,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An.
