The car road to Nhon Mai commune center has been opened along National Highway 16 through Xoi Voi village.

According to information from local authorities, by the afternoon of August 7, the landslide at Xoi Voi village had been repaired so that cars could pass through and enter the center of Nhon Mai commune.

On the afternoon of August 7, Mr. Le Hong Thai - Chairman of Nhon Mai Commune People's Committee said that after 2 weeks of mobilizing human and material resources to clear the huge blocks of earth and rock on the roads, by the afternoon of August 7, the landslide point at Xoi Voi village had been repaired so that cars could pass through and enter the commune center.

Thus, people as well as working groups and volunteer groups can travel by car along National Highway 48 through the communes of the old Quy Chau and Que Phong districts, connecting to National Highway 16 to reach the central commune of Nhon Mai. From the commune center to other villages, there are currently many routes that cannot be traveled by car, only by motorbike and on foot.

However, Mr. Le Hong Thai also said that although the amount of earth and rock has been cleared, the damaged road sections have been leveled and temporarily repaired to allow cars to pass through, there is still a potential risk of further landslides, especially when it rains.

Therefore, local authorities and functional forces regularly remind and advise people to limit travel and absolutely avoid going through dangerous areas when it rains.
