On June 14, Hanoi University of Science and Technology officially announced the benchmark scores for the talent selection method for about 20% of the 2024 enrollment target.

Accordingly, the data science and artificial intelligence (IT-E10) industry has the highest talent recruitment benchmark score of 104.58/110 points. Compared to the 2023 score of 98.42 points, the IT-E10 industry benchmark score increased by 6.16 points.

The remaining positions in the top 5 highest-scoring majors include: computer science (IT1) 103.89 points (up 13.72 points); Global ICT (IT-E7) 102.67 points (up 20.67 points); Cyber ​​Security (IT-E15) 102.6 points (up 20.56 points); computer engineering (IT2) 98.3 points (up 12.95 points).

This is also the group of 5 industries with the highest talent recruitment benchmark scores last year.

This year, there are a number of additional majors with high benchmark scores of 90 points or more, including the microchip and semiconductor group (MS2); the health science and technology group (ET2, ET-E5, CH-E11); and the logistics and business analysis group (EM-E13, EM-E14).

Explaining the increase in the benchmark scores of most majors/training programs compared to 2023, Hanoi University of Science and Technology said that this increase was due to the number of talent recruitment applications in 2024 nearly doubling compared to last year.

"The fierce competition has been determined right at the "input" when there are many high-achieving candidates applying. On the other hand, this is also a group of industries with a large demand for human resources in the trend of the times, attracting the attention of many candidates," said the Admissions and Career Guidance Board.

According to the Admissions and Career Guidance Department of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, this year there are 5,791 candidates registering for the talent selection method to enter Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Of which, 295 candidates registered for direct admission of excellent students according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training ; 928 candidates were admitted based on international certificates SAT, ACT, A-Level, AP and IB; 4,568 candidates were admitted based on their capacity profile combined with interviews.

In 2024, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will recruit 9,260 students using three methods: talent selection, about 20% of the target; selection based on the results of the thinking assessment test, about 30% of the target; selection based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores, about 50% of the target.
