Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Quang Ngai province, term 2024

(NADS) - On the morning of December 14, at the Quang Ngai Provincial Literature and Arts Association, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists of Quang Ngai Province held a Congress for the 2024 - 2029 term.

Artist Huynh Anh, Executive Committee member in charge of the South Central and Central Highlands regions, Head of the Inspection Committee of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists attended and directed the Congress; Dr. Nguyen Dang Vu, Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial Association of Literature and Arts; Members of the Photography major, Quang Ngai Provincial Association of Literature and Arts. Attending the Congress were 7/8 official delegates who are members of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists working at the Quang Ngai Provincial Association of Photographic Artists.

At the congress, Mr. Nguyen Dang Lam, the Branch President, presented a summary report on the activities of the Branch for the 2019-2024 term, determined the directions and tasks of the Branch for the 2024-2029 term; a summary report on the activities of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists for the 2020-2025 term, the directions of the Association's activities for the 2025-2030 term and a summary of the Association's Charter (amended and supplemented) for the 2025-2030 term, so that delegates could give their opinions on the draft documents of the Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists for the 10th term (2025-2030)...

Accordingly, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Quang Ngai province was established in 2009, with 03 members at the time of establishment. By the end of 2024, the Association had 9 members. For the 2019-2024 term, the Association proposed that the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists admit 03 members. Through the activities of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Quang Ngai province, the Association's members are truly the core in creative activities, supporting and helping many members of the Photography Association (Provincial Association of Literature and Arts). Thanks to that, the art photography movement of Quang Ngai province has continuously received team awards at the photo festival in the South Central - Central Highlands region in recent years and is showing a good development trend. In the past 5 years, the Association has also sent 5 members to participate in training courses and creative camps organized by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists. The Association has received a Certificate of Merit for the Association and 02 members.

During the past term, the Quang Ngai Provincial Association of Photographers regularly coordinated with the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts, the Photography Association (Provincial Association of Literature and Arts) to organize many creative sessions in localities inside and outside the province to create many works to participate in the Southern Central and Central Highlands Regional Photo Festival; Quang Ngai Province's art photography contests held every two years, participating in art photography contests of Central Ministries, branches, of the Vietnam Association of Photographers, participating in international photo contests sponsored by FIAP, with hundreds of works exhibited and winning awards at art photography contests and festivals.

During the 2024-2029 term, the Quang Ngai Provincial Association of Vietnamese Artists will continue to promote the achievements made in the 2019-2024 term, continue to stabilize the Association's organization, unite and support each other to build the Quang Ngai Provincial Association of Vietnamese Artists to develop more and more strongly. Members strictly implement the Charter and Resolutions of the Association, the Regulations and movements of the Association; fully perform the tasks set forth by the Association. The Association closely coordinates with the Quang Ngai Literature and Arts Association, the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to participate in creative activities, organize photo contests and exhibitions in the locality; proactively discuss and exchange professional skills, coordinate with the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts to organize for members to travel to create works in and outside the province; organize individual exhibitions of members, photo exhibitions by groups of authors to create opportunities for members to publish their works to the public.

Members vote to elect the Branch President and Vice President.

The Association mobilizes members to fully participate in the province's art photography competitions, art photography festivals in the South Central and Central Highlands regions; national and international art photography exhibitions... photo competitions jointly organized by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists. The Association coordinates with the Provincial Literature and Arts Association to effectively implement the art photography movement in the locality, increase attention and exchange with young people who love art photography to develop the movement, and proactively train and develop new members. During the 2024-2029 term, the Association strives to admit 3 to 5 members.

The Congress elected Artist Nguyen Tan Cu, member of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, as Branch Chairman; Artist Ngo Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman for the 2024-2029 term, and elected 3 delegates to attend the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, term X (2025-2030).
