On the afternoon of September 20, at the Provincial Convention Center, the 16th Congress of Ninh Binh Provincial Trade Union, term 2023-2028, held its third working session and closed the Congress.
Attending the working session were representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL); representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, and 300 outstanding delegates, representing the will and aspirations of over 170,000 union members, cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the whole province.
At the Congress, delegates heard a report on the results of the first meeting of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, term XVI, 2023 - 2028, which took place at noon on September 20, 2023.
Accordingly, the 16th Executive Committee elected the Standing Committee, the positions of Chairman, Vice Chairman, Inspection Committee, and Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor for the 2023-2028 term.
Comrade Duong Duc Khanh, member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Confederation of Labor, term XV, was re-elected as Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Confederation of Labor, term XVI, 2023-2028. Comrades Tran Kim Long and Nguyen Duc Cuong hold the position of Vice Chairmen of the Provincial Confederation of Labor, term 2023-2028.
The Congress elected 11 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates to attend the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, term 2023-2028.
Next, the Congress Presidium presented flowers to acknowledge the contributions of the comrades in the Executive Committee and Inspection Committee of the Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation, term XV, who were not re-elected.
The Congress also voted and unanimously approved the Resolution of the 16th Ninh Binh Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2023-2028.
In his closing speech at the Congress, comrade Duong Duc Khanh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation emphasized: After 2 days of urgent, serious and highly responsible work, the 16th Congress of Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Union, term 2023-2028, completed all the contents and programs set out and was a great success.
The results of the Congress demonstrate the trust, affirm the solidarity, intelligence, democracy and innovation of the Ninh Binh Trade Union system in the integration and economic development of the country and the development of the province.
To make the Congress Resolution come into effect soon, each cadre and union member must be proactive, creative, responsible and highly determined. This will create prestige, trust and voice of the Trade Union in the lives of workers, civil servants, laborers, local authorities and the business community.
