According to the urban planning of Dien Ban (old) until 2030 approved in Decision No. 656 dated March 31, 2023 of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province (old), in Dien Ban Dong ward there are 3 sub-areas: Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc new urban area, coastal urban area and Western urban area DT607.
Of which, Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc New Urban Area accounts for about 37% of the ward area and 2 zoning plans are being implemented, more than 100 detailed plans associated with investment projects account for about 31% of the area. Based on the approved plans, the ward has granted construction permits to individual households and other construction works in the area.
Chairman of Dien Ban Dong Ward People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Vy shared that in the 2025 - 2030 term, the Party Committee and the government will mobilize all resources to invest in building synchronous and modern infrastructure, especially taking advantage of capital from the Central and the city to invest in infrastructure according to the plan.
At the same time, proactively review and recommend the city to resolve and remove difficulties and obstacles and propose mechanisms to continue implementing residential area projects, urban areas, and key projects that are behind schedule and have lasted for many years.
In the coming years, Dien Ban Dong ward will continue to deploy and put into use key projects such as: dredging and clearing Co Co river, the elevated railway connecting Hoi An - Da Nang , and building Nghia Tu bridge.
In addition, deploy investment to complete connecting traffic routes, the ward's main arteries: the main axis of Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc New Urban Area, invest in expanding the connection between DH7 route to Viem Dong beach, DH9 extension, and route 773.
“We have included it in the investment project list and recommended that the city invest in renovating and upgrading the DT607B route, facilitating trade and developing the local economy and society. We strive to have at least 5 urban projects implemented and put into use during the term,” said Mr. Vy.
As one of the planning consultants, Mr. Truong Anh Quoc, Head of the Economic - Infrastructure - Urban Department of Dien Ban Dong Ward, said that it is expected that by the first quarter of 2027, the entire ward will have filled the construction zoning plan, which will serve as a basis for managing urban planning and architecture, establishing public investment projects or calling for non-budget projects.
In particular, the western area will be shaped into a community space along the Vinh Dien River, forming an urban area linked to Da Nang University; the eastern area of the ward will develop the landscape along the Co Co River to develop tourism, urban areas, riverside and coastal services; combining the rearrangement of coastal residents to create a community space in the coastal area.
The locality strives to complete planning and invest in building a new administrative center before 2030.
During the implementation process, the ward proactively reviewed, adjusted, and coordinated planning projects in the area; implemented approved planning projects; reviewed and adjusted planning projects that were no longer suitable and not highly feasible; established new planning projects for the coastal urban area and the urban area west of DT607 road and detailed planning according to the approved Dien Ban urban planning.
Dien Ban Dong will coordinate with neighboring localities in connecting planning and infrastructure, creating a development connection space with a vision for the next 20-30 years.
