The Embassy of Japan in Vietnam sponsored more than 1.6 billion VND to purchase medical equipment for the Provincial General Hospital.

The Provincial People's Committee has just approved the project document "Procurement of medical equipment for Quang Tri Provincial General Hospital" sponsored by the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam with a total capital of 71,954 USD, equivalent to 1.681 billion VND.

The project aims to improve health screening for children with congenital malformations in Quang Tri province, thereby reducing complications or unfortunate sequelae as well as enhancing the capacity of the hospital's medical staff in examination and treatment. At the same time, improve the quality of life of children later, improve the effectiveness of treatment, leading to a reduction in the rate of children with malformations, cerebral palsy or death.

Accordingly, the project will provide 1 echocardiogram machine (diagnostic ultrasound system); organize training for doctors and equipment operators; conduct audits according to the list and requirements agreed with the aid provider. The implementation period is from the time the project is approved until March 5, 2025.
