This event symbolized a new era of freedom and independence under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the great President Ho Chi Minh.
Through a challenging historical journey, Vietnam has achieved many encouraging results. Today, with a GDP of nearly 500 billion USD, Vietnam ranks 40th in the world's largest economies and is one of the top 20 global exporters.
Vietnam-France relations have also made important strides as the two countries upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership, continuously carrying out high-level visits in recent times.

French Government representative Anne-Marie Descôtes highly appreciated Vietnam's role and pledged to strengthen cooperation in key areas such as energy, environment, health, transport, science and technology and climate. Culture is a prominent bridge in the program. Traditional and modern art performances such as “Lullaby of the Country”, “My Homeland Vietnam” or “Le temps des fleurs” brought a solemn and emotional atmosphere and expressed the spirit of solidarity between the two nations.
On this occasion, a special edition of the postage stamp set issued by the Vietnamese Embassy in France in collaboration with the French postal service to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day was presented by Ambassador Dinh Toan Thang to special guests at the ceremony.
The Vietnamese delegation to UNESCO also coordinated with the Vietnamese Cultural Center in France and the Vietnamese Embassy in France to organize an exhibition on Yen Tu and arrange a space to promote Vietnamese tea in the area where the ceremony took place.
The event is not only an opportunity for the Vietnamese community in France to turn their attention to their homeland, but also affirms the role of overseas Vietnamese in preserving cultural identity, promoting people-to-people diplomacy and contributing to deepening the Vietnam-France relationship.
