On June 18, Hanoi City Police held a conference to disseminate and deploy plans to ensure security and safety for Russian President Vladimir Putin's delegation visiting Vietnam.

At the invitation of the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam, Russian President Vladimir Putin's delegation will pay a state visit to Vietnam from June 19 to 20.

Hanoi City Police said they have developed a protection plan to ensure absolute security and safety for the activities of the Russian Federation delegation taking place in the area.

At the conference, representatives of commanders of units and functional departments of the Ministry of Public Security's professional departments gave comments and suggestions to supplement the plan.

In which, the functional units emphasize traffic flow and route division, ensuring traffic safety, coordination, on-duty, information reporting system and anticipating arising situations.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Hai Trung - Director of Hanoi City Police - emphasized that the visit of the President of the Russian Federation is an event of special importance.

Therefore, the City Police units must deeply understand that ensuring security and safety for the delegation is a key task, and must implement it seriously, without being subjective.

The Director of Hanoi Police requested units to concentrate their means to carry out security work, ensuring maximum mobilization of forces, and deployment in all areas where international delegations' activities take place.

Besides, it is necessary to clearly assign people and tasks, not allowing any shortcomings to affect the work of protecting the delegation.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Hai Trung requested that units directly involved in protection work must organize, coordinate, and closely coordinate between the inner and outer protection forces. Especially in the work of grasping the situation, proactively and promptly exchanging and providing information to resolve specific situations.

The Director of the City Police Department assigned the Traffic Police Department to closely coordinate with the district police to deploy plans to ensure traffic safety and guide the delegation throughout the delegation's activities in Hanoi. Traffic police increased patrols and control, and deployed plan number 4 to clear traffic congestion immediately after the delegation passed.

"Units must focus on closing off areas, thoroughly implementing the motto of proactive prevention, early detection, remote handling, and thoroughly resolving causes and conditions of insecurity and safety of the delegation and related activities.

"Mobilize all resources, have appropriate handling plans... with the highest requirement of ensuring absolute security and safety for the presidential delegation, and excellently completing the political tasks assigned by the Party, State, Ministry of Public Security, City Party Committee, and City People's Committee," the director of Hanoi Police emphasized.
