Evaluation of the inter-sectoral coordination program between the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs

This afternoon, June 27, the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor (QFF) coordinated with the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA) of the province to organize a conference to evaluate the inter-sectoral coordination program for the period 2021 - 2023, and develop directions and tasks for the period 2023 - 2025.

Implementing the regulations on coordination between the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation, the inter-sectoral agencies have closely followed the direction and policies of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Committee, selecting key work contents that are close to local conditions to effectively implement coordination work.

The outstanding results of the 2021 - 2023 period are the coordination in organizing and implementing activities on the occasion of Workers' Month and the annual Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH); successfully implementing the program of mobilizing resources to build houses of gratitude for policy families on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Quang Tri province. The Provincial Federation of Labor has called on and mobilized organizations and individuals inside and outside the province with a total amount of more than 6 billion VND to support the construction and repair of 81 houses of gratitude.

Coordinate and implement well policies to support businesses and workers affected by COVID-19. Through dialogue with workers, we have advised and recommended the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to issue a circular to add mine clearance work to the list of especially arduous, toxic and dangerous jobs and occupations...

Inter-sectoral leaders also coordinated promptly with leaders of related sectors to direct the removal and resolution of difficulties and problems of employees, laborers and employers, ensuring policies for employees.

The coordination activities have supported each other in fulfilling the functions and tasks of each side; effectively implementing the laws on labor and trade unions, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the parties in labor relations in the province.

Regarding the key coordination program for the period 2024 - 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs continue to effectively carry out propaganda, dissemination and implementation of labor laws, occupational safety and health, and trade union laws; coordinate to implement Plan No. 35/KH-UBND dated February 11, 2023 of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing the Program "Promoting lifelong learning activities among workers in enterprises by 2030" in Quang Tri province.

Direct trade unions at all levels to organize dialogues for inter-sectoral participation, grasp the situation, promptly resolve and propose to competent authorities to resolve problems of employees and employers in labor relations.

Coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee to organize activities of the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health associated with the Workers' Month under the direction of the Central Steering Committee and the Provincial People's Committee.

Focus on grasping the situation, inspecting, checking, and supervising the implementation of labor laws and trade union laws; resolving complaints and petitions of employees related to the implementation of labor laws, social insurance laws, etc.

Strengthen propaganda and mobilization work, mobilize union members, workers, and trade unions at all levels to actively participate in contributing to the construction of the "Gratitude" Fund and the "For the Poor" Fund; mobilize resources to help and support the effective implementation of social security work in the province. Coordinate to support vocational training and human resource development for small and medium enterprises.
