A representative of the University of Commerce said that this year's Tet bonus is the same as last year's. In 2024, each staff and lecturer of the school will receive a Lunar New Year bonus of 25 million VND/person and an additional Tet bonus of 5 million VND/person. In addition to the Tet bonus, staff and lecturers in the school will also receive a 13th month salary.

Thuyloi University said that this year, the school divided welfare money for each staff and lecturer an average of 8 million VND, equivalent to last year's level.

In addition, employees will also receive additional income as the 13th month salary in 2024 depending on the coefficient and position of each person, fluctuating under 10 million VND. “Each staff and lecturer receives 8 million VND; those who complete their tasks excellently receive a coefficient of 1.2 - meaning they are rewarded 9.6 million VND. This level of welfare is based on the assessment of the corresponding tasks with coefficients of 0.7; 0.9; 1.1; 1 or 1.2. All subjects are equal, regardless of staff, lecturers or employees,” he said.

University of Technology, National University also gives Tet bonus to staff and workers at the level of 10 million or more, depending on the level of task completion.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology, lecturers with high Tet bonus also receive around less than 20 million.

Many schools in the South increase Tet bonuses

For universities in the South, the Tet bonus policy has also been officially announced by the schools to the management team, lecturers, staff and employees.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry said that this year, the school's Lunar New Year bonus will increase compared to 2024. On average, each cadre, lecturer, and employee will receive a Tet bonus of about 40 million VND.

According to the announcement of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade on the Lunar New Year bonus in 2025, the school will pay an equal bonus of 25 million VND/person. In addition, the school will give an additional 3 million VND/person on the occasion of the New Year, the total number of staff of the school is about 800 people.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education still maintains the Tet bonus of 25 million VND/person and the task completion fee is one month's salary for each staff member, lecturer and employee. In addition, the new point this year is that the school pays an additional donation amount to each staff member, lecturer and employee.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, the total Tet bonus for nearly 500 employees of the school increased by 20% compared to last year.
