In particular, within the framework of this year's exhibition, there is also a Vietnam - China Elevator Industry Business Connection Conference. This is a valuable space - where experts and businesses can share experiences, find new solutions and together shape the future of the elevator industry in the region.
Bridge for long-term cooperation between Vietnam and China
Speaking at the exhibition, Mr. Vo Hong Son - Chief Representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Office in the Central - Southern region said that the Vietnam International Elevator Exhibition 2025 is not only a place to display advanced technology but also a bridge for Vietnamese and international enterprises to establish long-term cooperative relationships, together aiming at the goal of developing a smart - safe - green and sustainable elevator industry.

In order for the Vietnamese elevator industry to develop sustainably in the new period, according to Mr. Vo Hong Son, it is necessary to identify a number of orientations: Perfecting policy mechanisms and technical standards, ensuring operational safety, in sync with international standards. Encouraging technological innovation, domestic production; increasing the localization rate of components, reducing import dependence. It is necessary to promote international cooperation through forums and exhibitions like today, to share experiences, transfer technology and expand the market. At the same time, it is necessary to build high-quality human resources, train specialized engineers and technicians to meet the needs of modern industry.
Mr. Vo Hong Son cited research from Future Market Report, the elevator market size is estimated to reach 17,500.50 million USD in 2024 and is expected to reach 28,400.75 million USD in 2032, growing at a CAGR of 6.2% from 2025 to 2032, with prominent trends being smart, energy-saving elevators, IoT applications and artificial intelligence.
Vietnam currently has more than 480,000 elevators in operation, with a need for new installations of 40,000 to 45,000 units per year. The urban population accounts for about 42% of the total population of more than 100 million, leading to a large demand for vertical transport infrastructure in social housing projects, commercial centers, urban areas and public works. With the position of a fast-growing economy and assessed to have the highest growth rate in Southeast Asia, the demand of many large domestic projects is creating momentum for the elevator industry to develop even more strongly.
Conference “Smart Elevators & Modern Urban Safety - Global Trends and Sustainable Cooperation”
Within the framework of the Vietnam International Elevator Exhibition 2025, the conference “Smart Elevator & Modern Urban Safety - Global Trends and Sustainable Cooperation” was held on the afternoon of September 24. The event marked an important step forward in the exchange, connection and cooperation between Vietnamese and Chinese elevator enterprises.
The event received great attention from domestic and international public opinion, opening up opportunities for trade and extensive cooperation between businesses of the two countries.
Cooperation brings double benefits
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam International Elevator Exhibition 2025, said that the conference was organized to enhance trade exchange, meet the great demand in the two markets. Promote investment cooperation, production and development of a modern and sustainable elevator industry ecosystem; Promote technology transfer, application of smart, energy-saving elevators. At the same time, develop high-quality human resources through training and research cooperation.

“ More importantly, we are laying the foundation for a comprehensive cooperation ecosystem, helping businesses of both countries not only find business partners but also share experience, technology and resources for sustainable development ,” Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien emphasized.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vo Hong Son, Chief Representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Office in the Central and Southern regions, said that the Vietnam - China Elevator Industry Business Connection Conference is an event of special significance, taking place in the context of the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries being constantly strengthened and expanded.
Branch Vietnam's elevator industry currently has more than 300 operating enterprises, supplying tens of thousands of products each year to the domestic market, while gradually participating in the global supply chain.
However, in response to the demands of industrialization and modernization, especially the development of smart cities, the Vietnamese elevator industry needs to have a stronger approach to advanced technologies: from IoT, artificial intelligence (AI), energy saving, to operational safety solutions. These are trends that large corporations in China, Korea, Japan or Europe are leading.
In the socio-economic development strategy for 2021-2030, Vietnam has prioritized infrastructure modernization, smart urban construction, and supporting industry development. The elevator industry is an important link, contributing to ensuring safety, convenience, and sustainability in urban construction.
According to Mr. Vo Hong Son, to implement this orientation, cooperation with Chinese enterprises - which possess advanced technology in smart elevators, energy-saving systems, and safe control solutions - will bring double benefits. Specifically, Vietnamese enterprises access modern technology and improve production capacity. At the same time, Chinese enterprises expand their markets and build sustainable supply chains in Vietnam. This is a complement to each other, creating a combined strength for both sides to develop together.
“ With the participation of managers, industry associations, and a large number of Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises, the conference will not only stop at meetings, but also open up specific cooperation contracts, sustainable links, contributing to improving competitiveness and affirming the position of the Vietnamese elevator industry in the regional and international markets ,” Mr. Vo Hong Son emphasized.
At the conference, representatives of elevator businesses from the two countries reached an agreement on specific connections and cooperation in the coming time, opening up opportunities to improve the competitiveness and position of the elevator industry in the regional and world markets.
