At the 2023 Science and Technology Innovation Contest of the Military Police School, Sergeant Tran Viet Tuyen, a student of Class DH27K, Battalion 30 (Military Police School), head of the initiative "IP Telephone Switchboard Practice Equipment", shared: "The current IP switchboard equipment of the school is mainly fixed in the lecture hall, each time they need to study or research, students have to ask permission from the commander to go to the lecture hall. For convenience in studying, I and some teammates have researched the product "IP Telephone Switchboard Practice Equipment". The initiative is compact and mobile, helping students to study right at the unit".

The initiative "Security solutions in WAN" (network connecting many internal networks) led by Lieutenant Colonel, Dr. Bui Quoc Doanh, Head of the Department of Television - Data Transmission, Faculty of Telecommunications, not only helps students have an intuitive view when learning content related to data transmission techniques and information security, but can also be effectively applied in a number of units throughout the army.

The representative of the author group presented and introduced the product "IP telephone switchboard practice equipment".

These are just two of 39 products and scientific research topics at the contest, including 17 products in the field of models, initiatives, technical improvements, 22 products in the field of information technology of staff, lecturers and students of SQTT School. In particular, there are many products with new scientific ideas, applying advanced technologies, artificial intelligence in products, such as: Tools to detect and warn of malicious websites using artificial intelligence (AI); short video website applying AI technology to serve teaching to meet output standards... Most of the products are complete and have the ability to be applied in practice, serving well the task of education and training.

Talking to us, Colonel R.Kulkarni, an Indian expert at the SQTT School, said: “I clearly see the prospects of projects in the field of engineering and technology carried out by officers and students of the school. I believe that technology and innovation at training facilities like the SQTT School will help build a technology foundation and talented human resources for the country in the future.”

According to Colonel Bui Tien Bao, Head of the Faculty of Basic Sciences, the products participating in the contest all come from practical needs, closely following the training tasks of the school as well as the tasks of the Corps; demonstrating the dedication of the staff, lecturers, and students, meeting the combat training tasks as well as people's lives, creating a foundation to promote the scientific research movement to develop more and more. The annual science and technology innovation contest has urged staff, lecturers, and students to research and create practical products. For example, in 2022, the school had 11 products winning the Corps-level Creative Youth Award and 8 products winning the Army-level award.

In order to achieve high efficiency in scientific research and innovative technological products, in recent times, the School of Science and Technology has done a good job of planning, creating sources, perfecting, arranging and using the team of scientific staff, especially leading staff, with degrees, scientific titles, young scientific staff, to meet the requirements of immediate and long-term tasks. In addition, there is a process of combining self-training with sending staff and lecturers for training and development at schools inside and outside the Army, between training at school and sending them to practice at the unit. This is the core team to lead, orient the development and creation of scientific and technological products. Along with that, the school always pays attention to investing in specialized classrooms, practice laboratories with modern equipment, accessing new technology, both serving education and training and serving the team of staff and research lecturers; have preferential policies and regimes for individuals with capacity and achievements in scientific research.

Colonel Nguyen Nhu Thang, Vice Principal of Training at the Military Academy, said: “Research products are worthless if they are not put into use. Therefore, during the implementation process, the school promotes the application of scientific research results to effectively serve the tasks of training, education and training, and the work and life of soldiers and people. Prioritize investment in funding and materials to ensure topics, topics and initiatives of high practical value.”
