At the Quang Tri Provincial Children's House, to meet the learning needs of students in the area, the unit has organized 60 gifted classes in 21 subjects from basic to advanced such as: martial arts, swimming, chess, painting, child modeling, dancing, child MC, calligraphy, English communication, Korean... The diversification of subjects as well as the development of gifted subjects aims to contribute to meeting the needs of learning, playing, and cultivating life skills for young people in the area. At the same time, encourage and promote strengths and talents so that children have the opportunity to develop both physically and intellectually.

Director of the Provincial Children's House Nguyen The Hung said: "With the mission of taking care of the spiritual life and comprehensive development of the young generation, in recent times the Provincial Children's House has constantly innovated, created, and organized exciting and attractive summer activities. In addition to organizing training activities, fostering talents for children, helping them expand their knowledge, access new skills and be more confident on their journey to adulthood, we have coordinated with relevant units to organize free mobile playgrounds in disadvantaged localities of the two mountainous districts of Huong Hoa and Dakrong such as: folk games, children's story reading festivals, communication on injury prevention, drowning accidents, child abuse prevention... On the other hand, coordinating with units and localities to organize meaningful activities such as: field trips; returning to the source with the journey to find red addresses; summer camp "We are Coast Guard soldiers"... to educate the revolutionary tradition for the next generation young".

Summer is coming, Quang Tri Provincial Library has also become an attractive destination for many children. In addition to the rich and diverse children's book collection, the unit has actively innovated activities to improve service quality, creating a useful, safe and healthy playground for children during the summer. In the reading space for children, there are currently nearly 18 thousand books, including many newly added books with diverse genres and fields, rich content, beautiful form, suitable for teenagers and children.

In addition, the reading room also has newspapers and magazines for students such as: Thieu Nien Newspaper, Nhi Dong, Hoa Hoc Tro, Thien Than Nho..., ensuring to serve well the entertainment needs and knowledge learning through books and newspapers of children when coming to the library in the summer. Director of the Provincial Library Ho Ngoc Thien said: "To best serve the reading needs of readers in general and children in particular, the Provincial Library has minimized administrative procedures, and is flexible in issuing and exchanging cards to ensure convenience and speed. With simple procedures, waiting time is minimized, along with the enthusiastic guidance and caring attitude of librarians, book lovers and teenagers and children no longer hesitate when entering the Provincial Library. The Provincial Library always wants to bring children a healthy and beneficial learning and entertainment environment, helping them have a memorable summer and foster a love of reading."

In rural, mountainous, remote and isolated areas of the province, organizing extracurricular classes, life skills education, and mine accident prevention and injury prevention are important tasks that are being focused on by youth organizations, teams and local authorities. Specifically, youth union chapters at all levels have simultaneously implemented many practical activities such as: handing over 2 "Swimming pools for children" projects at Cam Hieu Primary and Secondary School, Cam Lo district and Hai Son Primary and Secondary School, Hai Lang district; organizing a "Healthy and safe - Learning thousands of good things" skills camp in Vinh Linh district; coordinating with Project RENEW to organize the "Healthy and happy children" skills festival - district-level summer camp in 2025", focusing on integrating propaganda on mine prevention in Hai Lang district; simultaneously opening swimming classes to prevent drowning; donating children's playgrounds, volleyball courts, friendly toilets, etc.

Secretary of Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union Tran Thi Thu informed: “In recent times, the work of caring for, educating and protecting children has achieved many outstanding results. The activities implemented by the Provincial Youth Union always create innovation, creativity and suitability to local conditions, especially in remote areas. Many meaningful projects such as swimming pools, playgrounds, and friendly toilets have been handed over, contributing to creating a safe and healthy environment for children.

Free swimming and life skills classes have been expanded, helping students improve their self-protection skills. In addition, youth organizations, teams and localities have actively coordinated with schools and educational institutions to hand over, receive and manage children living at home and in residential areas; actively mobilized resources to build and renovate living and entertainment venues for children; supported and helped children from poor families, families of meritorious people, and children in special circumstances to ensure that all children have the opportunity to study and develop comprehensively.

In the coming time, the Provincial Youth Union will continue to expand the models of playgrounds and classrooms in mountainous areas; mobilize social resources to invest in facilities for children; promote the application of digital transformation; improve the capacity of the Youth Union staff and children's leaders; focus on activities to train personality, emotions and life skills for students; and at the same time promote the advisory role and represent the voice of children in policy making on children.

It can be affirmed that the work of caring for, educating, and creating playgrounds for children during each summer has achieved many remarkable results. However, in reality, there are not many entertainment venues specifically for children in the province, only concentrated in the central areas of the localities. For areas with difficult economic conditions, access to these activities for children still seems far away.

In 2025, with the theme “Prioritizing resources to achieve goals for children,” June - Action Month for Children 2025 is an opportunity for all levels, sectors, organizations and the whole society to look back, evaluate and continue to promote the implementation of children's rights. Especially in the current context, when children are facing many risks from the living environment, digital technology and pressure from modern society, the care and protection of children is more urgent than ever.

In order to gradually solve the problem of playgrounds for children during the summer, localities need to arrange and mobilize more resources, and at the same time, soon have plans to maintain, renovate and build new safe and friendly playgrounds for children; organize activities with useful content, diverse and rich forms, suitable to children's needs.
