(Fatherland) - Competing confidently and winning the 2024 Road to Olympia championship, Vo Quang Phu Duc (Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted in Hue ) brought overwhelming emotions to his hometown fans at the live broadcast point at Ngo Mon Square.
On the morning of October 13, the final round of the 24th Road to Olympia took place with the participation of 4 climbers: Tran Trung Kien (Le Hong Phong High School, Phu Yen ), Nguyen Quoc Nhat Minh (Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, Gia Lai), Vo Quang Phu Duc (Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted, Thua Thien Hue), Nguyen Nguyen Phu (National University of Education High School for the Gifted, Hanoi). In Thua Thien Hue, Ngo Mon Square was chosen as the location for the live broadcast.
Previously, contestants in Thua Thien Hue have brought the Road to Olympia finals to their locality 7 times, but this is the first time Ngo Mon Square in the Hue Monuments Complex has been chosen as the live television broadcast location.
In the first time held here, this bridge made a strong impression on the audience nationwide with the vibrant cheering performance, imbued with cultural identity of more than 8,000 fans who were teachers, students, and people of Thua Thien Hue province.
At this point, the conical hat and the five-panel ao dai, two cultural beauties of the ancient capital of Hue, were used by fans to cheer for climber Vo Quang Phu Duc.

The impressive cheering performance of Hue fans contributed to giving strength to climber Vo Quang Phu Duc, and at the same time honored and promoted the image of an ancient but no less dynamic and vibrant Thua Thien Hue to friends across the country.
In the final match of the Road to Olympia 2024, climber Vo Quang Phu Duc competed confidently and "toughly", excelling in leading the two Warm-up and Obstacle Courses with outstanding scores, thereby bringing joy to fans in his hometown. Phu Duc also continued to maintain this form when finishing the Acceleration competition with a temporary leading position and 235 points.
The atmosphere at the Ngo Mon Square television station became more tense when the contestants entered the Finish Line competition. In this competition, Phu Duc's fans could not help but worry when contestant Nguyen Nguyen Phu performed quite impressively, continuously keeping close to the score of the climber from Thua Thien Hue.
However, with a calm attitude and reasonable competition tactics, Vo Quang Phu Duc excellently won the Road to Olympia 2024 championship with 220 points, only 5 points more than the second place Nguyen Nguyen Phu.
The live TV broadcast at Ngo Mon Square "exploded" when the laurel wreath officially belonged to the climber from Thua Thien Hue province.
The leaders of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province and teachers also burst into joy at Phu Duc's victory. This is the 7th student of Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted to participate in the final round of Road to Olympia and the 3rd person to conquer the laurel wreath.
