In recent years, Quang Ninh has always maintained its leading position in the country in terms of provincial competitiveness index (PCI), administrative reform, digital transformation (DTI) and innovation index. The contribution rate of total factor productivity index to Quang Ninh's GRDP in 2024 reached over 50%; for 2 consecutive years, Quang Ninh's local innovation index (PII) was in the top 10 provinces and cities with the highest scores. Notably, in 2024, Quang Ninh ranked 6th with 47.82 points, 3 places higher than in 2023. In the goal of sustainable development, the provincial government identified creative startups as an important driving force to promote growth, diversify economic models and arouse the aspirations of the young generation.
Hosting the 7th National Startup Forum shows that Quang Ninh is not only a destination for tourism and investment, but is also affirming its role as an ideal “fertile land” for startup projects and new business models. This is also an opportunity for the province to introduce its potential and strengths, and at the same time acquire knowledge and technology from domestic and foreign experts and businesses.
With the theme “Convergence of global resources to develop a local innovative startup ecosystem and start-up”, this year’s forum will focus on three major areas: Sharing new trends in startups, innovation, application of artificial intelligence, e-commerce and digital economy; connecting cooperation between startups, investors, domestic and foreign venture capital funds; shaping the role of Quang Ninh in the national startup network, towards deep international cooperation. In particular, the Quang Ninh Innovation and Startup Summit will be a highlight, with the participation of leaders of central ministries, branches, the National Innovation Center (NIC), embassies, international organizations (France, Korea, Japan, Israel, Australia ...), and hundreds of typical startups.
In addition to the thematic discussion sessions, the forum also has activities to honor 15 outstanding innovative organizations and startups that have made many contributions to the startup ecosystem. This year's forum is expected to be a place to connect, share experiences, and promote cooperation between experts, businesses, and investors at home and abroad.
In addition to discussion sessions, seminars and investment connections, the forum also has training courses on innovative startups - new thinking for the digital age; booths displaying and introducing projects, science and technology products, innovative startups, OCOP products of localities; Gala Dinner connecting businesses - investors, creating an open exchange environment, building trust and cooperation.
In the context of globalization and digital transformation, the National Startup Forum 2025 is not only a "playground" for young entrepreneurs, but also demonstrates Quang Ninh's active participation in implementing the goals and tasks of Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo. This is also a testament to the province's determination to create a strong innovation ecosystem, both internationally integrated and associated with sustainable development, ensuring harmony between economic growth and social and environmental responsibility.
The 7th National Innovation and Startup Forum It is expected to empower the province's startup projects to expand international cooperation, take advantage of global resources, create a boost for the startup movement, arouse the desire for innovation, and contribute to building Quang Ninh to develop more and more sustainably in the digital age.
