Accordingly, in October 2023, the industry's total revenue is estimated at VND 372,463 billion, up 5% over the previous month and up 11% over the same period last year. The total industry revenue by the end of October 2023 is estimated at VND 3,016,617 billion.
State budget contribution is estimated at VND8,393 billion, up 4% compared to the previous month and down 17% compared to the same period last year. Cumulative budget contribution of the whole industry up to the end of October 2023 is estimated at VND79,014 billion.
Regarding phone number identification, at the press conference in October 2023, the Ministry of Information and Communications announced the implementation of call identification of agencies and units under the Ministry and was informed by press agencies to readers nationwide, and received many positive responses.

However, there are also many opinions that if only a few units implement it, the problem cannot be completely solved, because currently there are many fraudulent calls impersonating state agencies, credit institutions, to e-commerce businesses inviting "easy jobs with high salaries", or inviting real estate, calling for investment...
"If all agencies, departments, organizations and businesses identify their phone numbers together, this situation will be limited," said the Ministry of Information and Communications.
The Ministry of Information and Communications requests that press agencies continue to provide information and create consensus among public opinion so that agencies, departments, branches, organizations and businesses can jointly implement and bring about the best results in limiting impersonation and scam calls that disturb people.
Regarding handling violations of radio frequency content, in October, the Frequency Department discovered and handled 12 mobile signal booster devices causing interference; 17 violations of frequency usage, of which 8 cases were fined, 6 cases were warned and 3 cases were reminded.
Two more cases of fake mobile broadcasting (fake BTS) were discovered in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, infiltrating the public telecommunications network and spreading scam messages to people (17 cases since the beginning of 2023). The discovery of these fake BTS stations has helped professional units under the Ministry of Public Security , Hanoi City Police, and Ho Chi Minh City Police to arrest the masterminds and subjects using BTS to spread scam messages in the fastest time.

Regarding the fight against cross-border social networking platforms and illegal online game provision activities, the results of October 2023: Facebook blocked and removed more than 404 posts, 1 group and 7 violating accounts (90%); Google removed 480 violating videos on Youtube (92%); TikTok blocked and removed 53 violating contents (95%).
In addition, regarding the work of ensuring information security in cyberspace, according to the Ministry of Information and Communications, in October 2023, the Ministry recorded, warned and guided the handling of 1,010 cyber attacks causing incidents to information systems in Vietnam (1,010 Phishing attacks, 0 Deface attacks, 30 Malware attacks), an increase of 11.8% compared to September 2023 (903 attacks), an increase of 17.9% compared to the same period in October 2022 (857 attacks).
Organize to review and record 53 websites with inserted advertising content (22 websites belonging to 12 Ministries/Sectors, 31 websites belonging to 24 Provinces/Cities) and send warnings to the managing units for handling .
