Government Inspectorate working delegation works with Quang Ninh province

On April 25, Working Group No. 1 of the Government Inspectorate, headed by Mr. Duong Quoc Huy, Deputy Inspector General of the Government, had a working session with the Provincial People's Committee on the results of receiving citizens and handling complaints and denunciations in 2024 and the first 3 months of 2025; the results of implementing Decision No. 44/QD-TTg dated March 28, 2025 of the Prime Minister and Plan No. 96/KH-TTCP of the Government Inspectorate on the final settlement of long-standing complaints and denunciations. Working with the delegation were Mr. Pham Duc An, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, Provincial National Assembly Delegation and representatives of relevant departments, branches and localities.

In 2024 and the first 3 months of 2025, the work of receiving citizens and handling complaints and denunciations continued to receive attention from Party committees and authorities at all levels of Quang Ninh province, directing and implementing seriously and effectively, ensuring the provisions of the law. The number of complaints, denunciations and petitions from citizens decreased compared to the same period. In particular, many long-standing complaints and denunciations were resolved, creating consensus among the people.

Implementing the direction of General Secretary To Lam at the working session with the Standing Committee of the Government Inspectorate Party Committee, Decision No. 44/QD-TTg dated March 28, 2025 of the Prime Minister and Plan No. 96/KH-TTCP dated March 28, 2025 of the Government Inspectorate on thoroughly resolving prolonged complaints and denunciations that go beyond the central level, the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee has directed the establishment of a working group to direct, review and thoroughly resolve them.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Pham Duc An, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that Quang Ninh province always identifies the work of receiving citizens, resolving complaints and denunciations as a very important task of Party committees and authorities at all levels. Thereby, contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety, promoting socio-economic development in the area.

To support localities in resolving prolonged cases that have been escalated to the Central level, he requested the Government Inspectorate to have a specific list of cases that have been thoroughly reviewed, in accordance with legal regulations, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of citizens. On that basis, localities as well as central agencies issue notices to terminate the review and resolution of cases. At the same time, propagate and mobilize people to stop making complaints and denunciations. In addition, point out the remaining problems and limitations in the resolution process of outstanding cases so that localities can have directions to resolve them.

Comrade Duong Quoc Huy, Deputy Inspector General of the Government, highly appreciated the efforts of Quang Ninh province in receiving citizens and resolving complaints and denunciations. Especially for prolonged and complicated cases, the province has paid attention to and directed them to be thoroughly resolved, ensuring compliance with legal regulations as well as the legitimate rights and interests of the State, organizations and citizens. At the same time, he requested the province to continue to seriously and effectively implement the instructions of the General Secretary and Prime Minister on resolving prolonged complaints and denunciations that have gone beyond the central level. In the process of resolving, it is necessary to focus on propaganda work on mass media for cases that have been resolved completely.
