Government Inspectorate recommends recovering 22,569 billion VND through inspection

(Chinhphu.vn) - Implementing emulation movements in the past 5 years (2021-2025), the Government Inspectorate issued 82 inspection conclusions recommending the recovery of VND 22,569 billion and 578 hectares of land.

The Government Inspectorate said that the emulation movements launched by the Government Inspectorate in the past 5 years (2021-2025) have contributed to improving the quality and efficiency of performing professional tasks. From the emulation movements, thinking, leadership, direction and implementation methods have been innovated, speeding up progress and improving the quality of inspections. These efforts have thoroughly overcome the shortcomings and limitations that lasted for many years in the previous term in the delay in issuing inspection conclusions.

Specifically, the work of supervision, appraisal and post-inspection handling has become increasingly effective, contributing to controlling power, preventing corruption and negativity, and improving the quality of inspection conclusions.

The overlapping situation between inspection agencies and between inspection agencies and other agencies, especially with the State Audit, has been completely overcome.

During the past term, the Government Inspectorate directed the Inspection sector to carry out many large-scale thematic inspections nationwide.

Accordingly, a thematic inspection was conducted on construction planning and implementation of construction planning; management of exploration, survey, planning, licensing, exploitation, and transportation of construction material mines; key infrastructure projects, etc.

The whole industry has carried out over 32,484 administrative inspections and 752,164 specialized inspections and checks. Through inspections, recommendations have been made to recover VND424,881 billion and 2,209 hectares of land; recommendations have been made to review and handle administrative actions against 16,426 groups and 34,420 individuals; 1,762 cases and 1,266 subjects have been transferred to the investigation agency, an increase of 80.6% compared to the previous term.

The Government Inspectorate alone issued 82 inspection conclusions; discovered economic violations of VND52,893 billion and 3,134 hectares of land; recommended the recovery of VND22,569 billion and 578 hectares of land; and transferred 115 cases to the investigation agency.

In particular, under the direction of the Central Steering Committee, the Government, the Prime Minister, the Government, the Government Inspectorate has conducted many inspections with wide scope, very complex nature, requiring completion in a very short time, but all of them have excellently completed their tasks, highly appreciated by the Party and State leaders and public opinion.

In the work of receiving citizens and resolving complaints and denunciations, the Government Inspectorate has seriously and resolutely implemented the Politburo's directives, resolutions of the National Assembly, the Government and the Prime Minister's direction and achieved many results, especially in reviewing and resolving complicated and prolonged complaints and denunciations that have been brought to the Central Government.

The working group of the Prime Minister, the Government Inspectorate and localities has inspected and reviewed 1,003 cases according to the plan from the previous term.

Notably, implementing the conclusion of General Secretary To Lam, the Standing Committee of the Government Inspectorate Party Committee organized a highly concentrated "90-day and night campaign", mobilizing the forces of many participating units; along with the participation of the entire political system to resolve 226 complicated, prolonged, and over-level complaints and denunciations to the Central Government in Hanoi.

As a result, by June 30, 2025, 203/226 cases had been basically handled and resolved, reaching 89.8%. Of the remaining 23 cases, 7 were filed by citizens in court and 16 cases had difficulties and problems with policies and laws that required time for competent authorities to consider, handle and resolve.
