As part of a series of activities commemorating the 53rd anniversary of the sacrifice of 16 youth volunteers from Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province, now Hung Yen province at Long Dai II ferry (September 19, 1972 - September 19, 2025), on the afternoon of September 18, a working delegation of Hung Yen province led by comrade Tran Quoc Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, came to offer incense at the Truong Son Martyrs Memorial Temple - Long Dai ferry and the stele house listing the names of 16 youth volunteers from Hung Yen who sacrificed their lives while performing the task of transporting and protecting Long Dai II ferry.
Comrade Tran Quoc Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the delegation of Hung Yen province offered incense at the Truong Son Martyrs Memorial Temple - Long Dai ferry.
Joining the working delegation were comrades: Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; comrades of the Provincial Party Standing Committee ; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches, sectors, localities of the province and relatives of the martyrs.
Long Dai ferry is located at Km 1004 + 810 on strategic route 15, belonging to the Eastern branch of the Truong Son route - the legendary Ho Chi Minh trail passing through Truong Ninh commune, Quang Tri province. This is a strategic artery that determines the survival of the support resources from the Northern rear to the Southern battlefield, Laos and Cambodia. During the war, this place suffered millions of tons of bombs and bullets during the period 1965 - 1972, this is also the place where many heroic martyrs sacrificed their lives while protecting the route.
From September 19 to 23, 1972, US aircraft dropped bombs on the Long Dai II ferry area, causing 16 Youth Volunteers, from Company 130, Battalion 2, Division 571, Group 559, from Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province, now Hung Yen province, to heroically sacrifice their lives while performing the task of transporting and protecting the ferry for the cause of liberating the South and unifying the country.
In September 2025, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a Decision to rank Long Dai Ferry Terminal II as a national historical relic, duly recognizing the silent sacrifices of the Youth Volunteers of Company 130.

In the sacred atmosphere, before the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs, the provincial leaders and the working delegation respectfully rang the bell, offered flowers, incense and observed a moment of silence to express their infinite gratitude and deep gratitude for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh; respectfully paid tribute to the heroes and martyrs of Hung Yen and all over the country who devoted their youth, bravely fought and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the country.

On the evening of September 18, the provincial leaders and the working delegation participated in the special art program "Gratitude - The River of Fire and Flowers" and the Ceremony to announce the Decision and receive the Certificate of National Historical Relic Ranking: Historical Relic "Long Dai Ferry Terminal II - The place where 16 Youth Volunteers sacrificed their lives in September 1972". The program depicted the noble sacrifice of 16 Youth Volunteers of Company 130, who will forever remain at the "fire coordinates".
The program is not only a profound memorial but also educates revolutionary traditions, arousing national pride for today's and tomorrow's young generations.
