On August 23, Inspection Team 1571 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee worked with the Party Committee of the Department of Health on the leadership and direction of the implementation of Resolution No. 19-NQ/TU dated January 25, 2022 of the Provincial Party Committee on socio -economic development (SED) of ethnic minority and mountainous areas (EMM) to 2025, with a vision to 2030.

After 2 years of implementing Resolution No. 19-NQ/TU, the health sector has achieved many important results, the rate of women receiving prenatal check-ups at medical facilities or with the support of medical staff has met the Resolution's targets; the rate of underweight malnourished children has improved, contributing to the effective implementation of Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Central Executive Committee on strengthening the protection, care and improvement of people's health in the new situation; the work of protecting and caring for people's health in ethnic minority and mountainous areas has had many positive changes, preventive medicine work has been well implemented, a number of infectious and dangerous diseases have decreased significantly, malaria prevention and control work has been actively and effectively implemented, and all health - population programs have met the assigned planning targets. In 2022, from the project "Investment in construction and development of the grassroots health service delivery system" using World Bank capital, the Department of Health organized training courses for grassroots health care with 504 officials and civil servants participating in training, training and fostering, of which 202 were ethnic minority officials and civil servants; at the same time, training was provided for 234 village health workers or people assigned to perform the functions of village health workers. In the 2 years 2022 - 2023, there were no food poisoning cases in the communes of ethnic minority and mountainous areas....

At the meeting, the leaders of the Department of Health proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct the Provincial Social Insurance to compile statistics and report on the number of ethnic minorities participating in health insurance to assess the rate of ethnic minorities participating in health insurance; direct the People's Committees of districts to speed up the implementation of Project 7 on people's health care, improve the health and stature of ethnic minorities, and prevent child malnutrition...

Speaking at the working session, Inspection Team 1571 acknowledged the opinions and recommendations of the Department of Health. At the same time, it is recommended that in the coming time, the Department of Health continue to comprehensively develop the health sector in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in terms of facilities, equipment and human resources so that ethnic minority and mountainous people can access modern health care services; continue to train doctors for ethnic minority and mountainous health care from local human resources, attract doctors to work in mountainous areas, and increase the rotation of doctors to examine and treat patients at health stations. Improve the level of medical transfer for commune and village health workers to maintain and effectively promote models of maternal and child health care in the community; proactively monitor and actively prevent epidemics, and implement measures to prevent and control epidemics such as dengue fever, hand, foot and mouth disease, and malaria; Implement inspection, monitoring and propaganda activities to ensure food safety and hygiene in communes in ethnic minority and mountainous areas...
