Businesses are stepping up production to complete orders before Tet.

According to statistics of the industry and trade sector, in December 2024, the industrial production index is estimated to increase by 1.31% compared to the previous month and increase by 6.3% compared to the same period last year. Some major industrial products have a high increase compared to the same period last year such as ilmenite ore estimated to increase by 11.32%, construction stone estimated to increase by 12.47%, ready-made clothes estimated to increase by 12.47%, tires of all kinds increased by 14.09%, plywood estimated to increase by 17.9%... The last days of the year of Giap Thin 2024 are also the beginning of the new year 2025, businesses in the province focus on boosting production to complete orders according to the set plan.

These days, workers of Hoa Tho Dong Ha Garment Company are speeding up to complete the order of nearly 1 million jackets exported to the US market according to the contract. Chairman of the Hoa Tho Dong Ha Garment Company's Trade Union Hoang Quang Trung said that in the first and second quarters of 2024, the world economic situation has many fluctuations, affecting the production and business of units in the garment industry, including Hoa Tho Dong Ha Garment Company.

Therefore, the estimated production and business results in 2024 will reach about 97% of the plan. However, the unit ensures that the average salary of workers is 8.7 million VND/person/month, and the Lunar New Year bonus in 2025 is equal to 1.5 months' salary.

The unit strives to complete the order to give workers 10 days off for Tet, starting from January 26, 2025 (December 27). In 2025, the company aims to grow by 10% -15% with the number of products striving for 2.6 - 2.8 million garment products, creating an average income for workers of about 9.5 million VND/person/month. Currently, the company has orders lasting until July 2025.

For VJ Toms Textile Company Limited, in Dien Sanh Industrial Cluster (CCN), Dien Sanh Town, Hai Lang District, with the characteristics of an FDI enterprise, the production and business plan is distributed throughout the year, so there is no pressure on year-end orders. It is expected that around January 24, 2025 (December 25), the company will complete the orders to give workers a Tet holiday. Mr. Le Nhat Tien, Chairman of the Company's Trade Union, said that the production and business results in 2024 will be as planned, with an average Lunar New Year bonus of 20 - 21 million VND/person depending on the level of work completion.

In the field of producing laminated wood and wood for civil carpentry, Manh Trieu One Member Co., Ltd., in Ai Tu Industrial Park, Trieu Phong District, has had a year of efforts in production and business activities in the context of the economy facing many difficulties and challenges. Mr. Dang Tho, Director of Manh Trieu One Member Co., Ltd. said: "The company specializes in purchasing round wood, acacia, pine wood, rubber wood, processing it into blanks, steaming, drying, and packing it for export to the provincial markets, exporting about 5,000 m3 of finished wood each year. As one of two units in the whole province to sign an export order for FSC-certified wood with Scancia Parcific Company, the company's orders are available all year round. In 2025, we signed an export contract to export more than 7,000 m3 of wood to this company, with the goal of ensuring stable wages and income for workers."

In 2024, industrial parks in the province attracted 8 projects with a total investment of about 694,545 billion VND, including: Hai Lang Energy Pellet Factory of Hai Lang Green Energy Joint Stock Company at Hai Thuong Industrial Park, Wood Processing Factory for Export of Interior and Exterior 2 of Tien Phong Cam Lo Company Limited at Cam Thanh Industrial Park, Nam Viet Wood Processing Factory of Nam Viet Company Limited, VBE Quang Tri Plantation Wood Processing Factory of VBE Quang Tri Joint Stock Company at Cam Tuyen Industrial Park, Agricultural Products Processing Factory of ATVN Company Limited at Cam Hieu Industrial Park.

Krong Klang Industrial Park has a factory producing beds, wardrobes, tables, chairs, and wooden products of Quang Huy DKR Company Limited, a wood material processing factory of Minh Quan Phuong Company Limited, a factory processing medicinal materials and producing handicrafts and furniture from rattan and bamboo of GKB Joint Stock Company.

Up to now, the province has attracted 176 investment projects in 16 industrial parks in the area with a total registered capital of about 4,913.3 billion VND, and has implemented construction investment of about 2,317.9 billion VND. Of which, 93 projects have come into production and business, 15 projects are under construction, 39 projects are completing procedures to start construction, and 29 projects have temporarily stopped operating.

In 2024, despite many difficulties, lack of synchronous infrastructure, and not much clean land for investment, enterprises in industrial parks in the province have overcome difficulties, actively operated, with total revenue estimated at about 3,383.2 billion VND, creating jobs for 5,564 workers, and contributing to the budget about 107.28 billion VND.

In 2025, the province set a target of 9.5% growth in the industrial index compared to 2024. Along with the efforts of the business community, the province continues to implement solutions to promote growth in the industrial - construction sector. In particular, promoting trade promotion activities to support the consumption of exportable products, promoting loans for production and business activities.

Implement solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles, speed up the progress of industrial projects. Complete the system of preferential policies to support investment, create an open environment associated with propaganda and investment promotion to attract social capital and foreign investment to participate in investing in industrial development. Continue to attract investment in industrial development on the basis of exploiting and promoting industries with potential advantages of the province.
