Vietnamese enterprises join blood donation movement in Cambodia

Today (September 28), Viettel Cambodia Company (Metfone), a brand of Viettel Military Telecommunications Group, organized a blood donation festival to help overcome the blood shortage in emergency care for patients in Cambodia with the message "One drop of blood - Million hearts". Mr. Nhong Dinthan, Deputy General Director in charge of foreign affairs of Metfone, said that for many years, Metfone has actively participated in many charitable activities such as: Free heart surgery for poor children, medical examination and treatment for people in difficult circumstances, supporting families to find relatives lost in the war... These are activities that demonstrate Metfone's philosophy of doing business associated with social and community responsibility, connecting the friendly relationship between the two countries and the two peoples of Vietnam and Cambodia.

Today's blood donation festival "One drop of blood - Million hearts" is the first time Metfone company has coordinated with the National Blood Transfusion and Hematology Center of Cambodia to organize, aiming to join hands to solve the blood shortage in emergency and patient treatment in Cambodia today. The blood donation festival received enthusiastic response from more than 200 participants, including Vietnamese and Cambodian company staff, along with some partners and customers of Metfone.

Ms. Ngo Thi Quy, an officer of Metfone company, who participated in donating blood and organizing the event, shared:

“I think simply, I live and work here, my family is here, so when society needs it, young people like me have to volunteer first, to donate blood for the Cambodian people. Or when my family, friends and colleagues need it urgently, there is still enough blood to be given immediately.”
