Vietnamese enterprises organize blood donation in Cambodia

With the message “One drop of blood - Million hearts”, the voluntary blood donation activity received enthusiastic response from nearly 200 Vietnamese and Cambodian company employees, along with a number of Metfone partners and customers.

For many years, the leading telecommunications company in Cambodia has been actively participating in charitable activities, such as free heart surgery for poor children, medical examination and treatment for people in difficult circumstances and support to find relatives lost in the war. Thereby, Metfone's philosophy of doing business is closely linked to social and community responsibility, connecting the good friendship between the people of Vietnam and Cambodia.

According to Dr. Khay Sokheng, Deputy Head of the Technical Department of the National Blood Transfusion Center under the Cambodian Ministry of Health , this initiative to organize blood donation for the community is a meaningful activity, a practical gift for patients in need of blood transfusion, bringing hope and joy to patients.

“I would like to express my deep gratitude to Metfone for organizing this program. Blood donation plays a very important role for patients. This morning, I saw many Metfone staff participating in blood donation. This really brings hope to patients in need of blood transfusions,” the doctor emotionally shared.

Viettel invested in Cambodia in 2006 and launched the Metfone telecommunications brand in 2009. Besides business, Metfone is an enterprise that always promotes social responsibility towards the people of Cambodia. By the end of 2023, the total value of Metfone's sponsorship for charity work and social projects is 120 million USD.
