The Vietnamese team was rated much higher than China before the two teams met in the second match of Group E of the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship qualifiers. Coach Diego Giustozzi's team started quickly and scored 3 goals in just the first 3 minutes of the match.
Three early goals helped the Vietnamese team play comfortably, the players controlled the ball overwhelmingly against the opponent and successfully seized the opportunity to score two more goals in the remaining time of the first half.
Coach Diego Giustozzi constantly rotated the squad, creating opportunities for young players when the Vietnamese team was at a higher level than the opponent. In the first half of the second half, the Vietnamese team put pressure on the opponent but did not attack strongly.
However, the Vietnamese team still had two goals to lead 7-0. Towards the end of the match, the Chinese team rose up and scored two goals. However, these were only honor-saving goals for the home team.
Vietnam is at the top of Group E after two matches with 6 points, 2 points ahead of second-placed Lebanon. In the final match on September 24, Vietnam will face Lebanon.
