Ngoc Vung Border Guard Station: Timely rescue of a fisherman whose leg was broken by a winch at sea

At 1:15 p.m. on July 18, Ngoc Vung Border Guard Station (under the Quang Ninh Border Guard) received an urgent report from a fishing boat exploiting seafood in the Ngoc Vung sea area (under the Van Don special zone) about a crew member whose leg was caught in a winch, resulting in a broken left leg.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Station urgently mobilized a 500CV motorboat with 5 officers and soldiers (including 1 medic), captained by Major Bui Van Manh, to quickly move to the scene.

At 2:30 p.m., the rescue team reached the TB-91269TS ship, which had 7 crew members on board. The captain was Pham Van Quyet, born in 1986, residing in Thai Do commune, Hung Yen province. The victim was Pham Tan Vo, born in 1986, from Kien Giang province.

After receiving first aid from military medics on the spot and being brought ashore, at 3:15 p.m. the same day, the victim was transferred to Cam Pha General Hospital for further treatment.
