On August 3, Comrade Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a working session with the People's Committee of Thuan Bac district on the results of implementing socio -economic development tasks in the first 6 months and the plan to implement solutions for the last 6 months of 2023.

In the first 6 months of 2023, Thuan Bac district closely followed the targets of the District People's Council Resolution and promptly concretized the tasks in directing and operating socio-economic development. The production value of industries is estimated at 5,751 billion VND, reaching 53.5% of the plan, up 19% over the same period last year; budget revenue is estimated at 17 billion VND, reaching 23.9% of the plan; total social investment is estimated at 2,020 billion VND, up 14% over the same period last year. The implementation of national target programs on new rural construction, sustainable poverty reduction, socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas was carried out in accordance with the set schedule; social security policies were fully implemented; activities to care for poor households and policy beneficiaries were focused on. Administrative reform achieved positive results, administrative discipline was strengthened; security, politics , social order and safety are maintained.

At the meeting, the district leaders pointed out the advantages as well as some difficulties and limitations in implementing the tasks for the first 6 months of 2023; at the same time, they proposed and recommended that the province pay attention to supporting funding for the locality to implement the National Target Programs in 2023; invest in the main canal system from Kien Kien Lake to Cong Hai commune to provide irrigation water for about 200 hectares of production land; direct specialized sectors to remove difficulties and obstacles in converting land use purposes for households and individuals...

After listening to the comments of departments and branches, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the proactive spirit of the entire political system in implementing socio-economic tasks from the beginning of the year until now. Regarding the tasks in the coming time, he requested Thuan Bac district to focus on directing agencies, units, and People's Committees of communes to develop solutions to ensure the targets set by the end of the year; maximize the potential and strengths of the locality, mobilize and effectively use all resources, and create a driving force to promote growth. Focus on organizing appropriate production, associated with the application of science and technology, and doing well the disbursement of capital for national target programs; pay attention to removing difficulties and obstacles for ongoing projects; strengthen the management of construction order, land use planning, and land use plans. Pay attention to implementing social security policies, increasing the rate of job creation; Improve the operational efficiency and direction of the state apparatus in administrative procedure reform... Regarding the recommendations of the district, relevant departments and branches continue to review and focus on timely resolution.
