A large number of tourists come to the hot air balloon festival in Quang Ninh

The Hot Air Balloon Festival is held from 7am to 9am and after 4:30pm, on September 1st and 2nd. This morning, more than 100 tickets were issued by Ha Long City for residents and tourists to experience the service and see Ha Long from above.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Thoa (Ha Long city) shared: "This is the first time I have been on a hot air balloon, sitting there I can see the beautiful panorama. The festival lets Ha Long people know about hot air balloons, and is also an opportunity to promote Ha Long City with many beautiful landscapes."

Quang Ninh organizes the first hot air balloon festival to attract people and tourists to experience

The hot air balloon festival is held under the theme "Heritage City, Brilliant Colors" to realize the project "Ha Long - Festival City" and will be held annually, aiming to create more attractive space for tourists to Ha Long. This is also an opportunity to promote the image of heritage, culture and people of Ha Long; create attractive tourism products to contribute to Quang Ninh in completing the goal of welcoming 19 million visitors in 2024.

The hot air balloon festival with the theme "Heritage city, brilliant colors" will be held annually by Ha Long city.

Mr. Hoang Ngoc Nam - representative of the unit participating in organizing the Ha Long Hot Air Balloon Festival 2024 shared: "Hot air balloons or paragliders are all flying devices in the sky, completely dependent on the weather. Winds above level 3 cannot fly and must be postponed, when the wind is calmer then they will fly. To avoid the situation where people have invitations but cannot fly, we have asked the Organizing Committee, if there is a weather problem and cannot fly, we are willing to stay one more day, that is, September 3, to make up for everyone."
