Over the years, Ai Nghia Agricultural Cooperative has always been considered the "leading bird" in the local agricultural cooperative system, among the top typical cooperatives nationwide. The unit is proactively producing and linking rice production with an area of over 300 hectares.

Mr. Truong Cam, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of Ai Nghia Agricultural Cooperative, shared that the unit has proactively cooperated with local farmers to produce rice varieties according to safe processes, ensuring food hygiene and safety regulations.

At the same time, provide seeds and input materials for farmers to produce and purchase all of this type of rice to produce safe rice paper and rice.

Linked with 6 businesses to purchase about 1,000 tons of rice seeds for members, with a purchase price 2.5-3 times higher than commercial rice production.

In recent times, cooperatives in Dai Loc have always actively promoted organizations and individuals to accumulate land to link production. Building land accumulation plans to promote the agricultural sector to develop in the direction of high technology, increase added value for products, meet the domestic and export markets, and improve farmers' lives.

The total agricultural production area of Dai Loc commune is nearly 2,950 hectares, with an average annual grain crop output of more than 21,000 tons. Of which, the area associated with rice seed production is 476 hectares, accounting for more than 22% of the total rice production area of the commune.

Mr. Huynh Hung Quang, Vice Chairman of Dai Loc Commune People's Committee, said that promoting the agricultural strengths of 5 localities of the old Dai Loc district before the merger (Dai Hiep, Dai Nghia, Dai An, Dai Hoa, Ai Nghia), Dai Loc commune has now identified 2 concentrated and specialized agricultural production areas.

In which, region 1 focuses on developing agriculture according to the value chain, applying science and technology with main products being clean vegetables, color crops, annual industrial crops and forming safe agricultural areas, OCOP raw material areas (in the area of the old Dai Nghia, Dai An, Dai Hoa communes).

Zone 2 develops specialized production of rice, corn, and green bean varieties, attracting seed companies, agricultural schools, and seed production centers to invest and cooperate in value chains (in the old Ai Nghia, Dai Nghia, Dai Hiep, and Dai Hoa towns).

“To increase the value of agricultural production, we prioritize the application of scientific and technological advances in production and rapidly implement digital transformation in agriculture. In particular, we promote the role of local agricultural cooperatives in investing in high-tech agricultural projects.

At the same time, actively implement the connection of "4 houses" including the state, scientists, businesses, and farmers," Mr. Quang said.

Attracting high-tech industry

Currently, the value of industrial production - small-scale industry and construction in Dai Loc commune accounts for more than 60%. The whole commune has 6 industrial clusters with 34 stable production facilities, with a total investment capital of 4,450.5 billion VND.

Mr. Le Do Tuan Khuong, Chairman of Dai Loc Commune People's Committee, said that the locality's advantage is that it is located near the "inner city" area of the city, with National Highway 14B passing through, creating favorable conditions for trade and industrial development.

The orientation of Dai Loc commune is to develop industry and handicrafts in the area along Highway 14B. In particular, priority is given to attracting FDI projects, projects with high technology content, environmentally friendly, as a driving force to accelerate growth, innovate technology, improve competitiveness, shift economic structure and social division of labor.

At the same time, deploy planning and manage planning of industrial clusters, striving to attract investment to industrial clusters to reach more than 80% by 2030.

To realize this breakthrough, Mr. Khuong said, in parallel with promotion, advertising, and calling for investment, Dai Loc commune will create the most favorable and safe environment for businesses to feel secure in investing.

Notably, the locality is oriented to coordinate investment in building infrastructure for industrial parks with a total area of about 600 hectares.

In particular, it is recommended that the city include in the list a number of key, dynamic projects related to industry such as building access roads for Dai Hiep, Dai An, and Dai Nghia 2 industrial clusters with a total budget from the state budget of about 46 billion VND.

Attracting private investment capital into the project of building a centralized wastewater treatment area and wastewater pipeline system on the western land plot adjacent to Dai Hiep industrial cluster (cost of 70 billion VND); along with projects under Decision No. 72 dated January 17, 2024 of the Prime Minister such as investing in infrastructure of Dong Phu, Tich Phu, Dai Hiep expansion, Dai An phase 2 and expansion industrial clusters.
