On the afternoon of February 23, many tourists and people flocked to Tran Temple, Loc Vuong Ward, Nam Dinh City to perform the ceremony and offer incense before the opening ceremony.

As the evening wore on, the flow of people and vehicles to Tran Temple became more and more crowded. To ensure traffic order and safety, traffic police, traffic inspectors and other forces had to direct traffic from a distance.

The area of National Highway 10, near Tran Temple, was fenced off and traffic was divided from afar.

Vehicles entering Tran Temple are guided to two parking lots on the right, about 50m - 100m from Tran Temple. However, due to the rain, many people chose motorbike taxi service as their means of transportation.

According to Giao thong Newspaper’s observations, there are about 50 motorbike taxis operating in and out of the Tran Temple area in the parking lots. Notably, these vehicles usually carry 2-3 people on board and do not wear helmets.

Posing as a tourist in need of transportation, a reporter from Giao Thong Newspaper was quoted a price of 20,000 VND/trip/person by a middle-aged motorbike taxi driver, and 40,000 VND for 2 people on 1 motorbike.

After agreeing on the price, the motorbike taxi driver quickly ran out to get the motorbike and took the reporter from the car parking lot to the Tran Temple gate area.

"I took advantage of the holiday to come here to drive a motorbike taxi to earn extra money. Normally, I work freelance at home. From morning until now, I have only had more than 10 trips, not even half as much as other people," the motorbike taxi driver shared.

When asked if he was afraid of being fined for carrying two people without helmets and exceeding the number of people on the vehicle, the driver calmly replied: "Who would call him back during this holiday, and no one would check."

After collecting 40,000 VND for a distance of about 500m, the driver turned the car around and drove to the parking lot to continue picking up passengers.

"Because it was raining, my family decided to call a motorbike taxi. My family has more than 5 members, so taking 2 motorbikes cost 100,000 VND," said Mr. Van.
