The 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress is scheduled to take place from October 13-15.

VTV.vn - The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has just announced the plan to organize the City Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term.

The congress is scheduled to take place over three days from October 13-15. Specifically, on October 13, delegates will attend a preparatory session. The congress will officially take place on October 14 and the morning of October 15. Before that, on October 11 and 12, delegates will participate in pre-congress activities, including visiting typical works of the city.

The Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee currently has 173 affiliated party committees. According to the plan, the 1st City Party Congress will summon 550 delegates to attend.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Creativity", the 1st Congress of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has the task of reviewing and evaluating the results of the 2020-2025 term, and at the same time setting out directions, goals and breakthrough solutions for the 2025-2030 period.

The Congress also set the goal of building Ho Chi Minh City into a multi-centered city, synchronously developing the fields of economy, finance, services, culture, education, health, science and technology; at the same time aiming for smart, modern development, green and sustainable growth, firmly ensuring national defense, security and foreign affairs. Building a clean and strong Party and political system in all aspects is also one of the key tasks of the new term.
