Agree to prosecute, temporarily detain, and temporarily suspend the duties of National Assembly Deputy Le Thanh Van

On July 10, Secretary General of the National Assembly Bui Van Cuong issued Official Dispatch No. 4062 regarding the National Assembly Standing Committee's consent to the prosecution, temporary detention, search of residence and workplace, and decision to temporarily suspend the performance of duties and powers of a National Assembly deputy of the 15th tenure of Mr. Le Thanh Van.

Accordingly, on July 10, the National Assembly Standing Committee passed Resolution No. 1090 on agreeing to prosecute, temporarily detain, search the residence and workplace; and temporarily suspend the performance of duties and powers of a National Assembly deputy against Mr. Le Thanh Van, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee, a deputy of the 15th National Assembly.

The Resolution was passed by the National Assembly Standing Committee on July 10, at the request of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy .

Mr. Le Thanh Van (60 years old) is from Hau Loc district, Thanh Hoa province; PhD in Law.

Mr. Le Thanh Van is a National Assembly delegate of the 13th (Hai Phong City), 14th, 15th (Ca Mau Province) terms and is a standing member of the Finance and Budget Committee of the 14th and 15th terms .
