The International Football Federation (FIFA) has just announced the latest rankings of men's national teams. Notably, the Vietnam team dropped one place, falling to 114th in the world with 1,169.92 points, despite not playing any official matches in September.

The relegation came as a result of the strong performance of teams behind them like Indonesia in the FIFA Days series.
In the Southeast Asia region, coach Kim Sang Sik and his team still hold the second position after Thailand. The Golden Temple team moved up one place to 101st in the world with 1,222.2 points, thanks to a 3-0 win over Fiji and a narrow 0-1 loss to Iraq.
The Indonesian team also advanced when defeating Chinese Taipei 6-0 and drawing with Lebanon, rising to 118th place, only 5 places behind the Vietnamese team.

In the top group of the world, Spain made a big splash when they surpassed Argentina and France to take the number 1 position, for the first time since 2014. Thanks to the victory over Bulgaria and Türkiye in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, they reached 1,875.37 points, surpassing France (1,870.92) and Argentina (1,870.32).
This is proof of the strong revival of Spanish football under coach Luis de la Fuente, with a young force and stable performance. The top race promises to be even more exciting next October.
